New Moon in Virgo - Wednesday, August 23, 2:10pm EST (3:10pm EDST)
Edited on Tue Aug-22-06 12:12 PM by I Have A Dream
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

NEW MOON REMINDER... Wednesday, August 23, 2:10 pm EST is the New Moon Power Day in August (3:10 pm, Eastern Daylight Savings time). Don’t miss this opportunity to make wishes for goals you’d like to reach and experiences you’d like to have.

Because this New Moon is in the sign of VIRGO, it’s a powerful time for new beginnings in bringing positive changes into your job life and setting up healthy routines. Things you may have wanted to happen in your life for a long time can begin easily manifesting through using the boost of this practical and efficient New Moon!

For success, your wishes must be handwritten on paper and ten wishes maximum are allowed on each power day. The most potent time is the first 8 hours AFTER the exact time of the New Moon; within the first 48 hours will still work. The potency continues to exist for another twelve hours, but is weaker. For clear success, it’s best to avoid wishing during those hours when the Moon is Void of Course. During the New Moon of August, the void of course date and time is: 8-25: 2:00 pm – 12 midnight EST.

Therefore in AUGUST 2006, your most potent times for wishing are:

Wednesday, August 23: 2:10 pm - 12 midnight EST ~ Thursday, August 24: all day and night ~ Friday, August 25: 12 midnight - 2:00 pm.

These times are in Eastern Standard Time and need to be converted to your local time zone. Keep in mind that if you are observing Daylight Savings Time, add one hour, and then convert to your time zone.

1. Don't forget about Ojai Person's New Moon website
Edited on Tue Aug-22-06 12:16 PM by I Have A Dream
Just to remind everyone, Ojai Person's new website will have new information every new moon. Here's the link to the relevant post about the site:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=245&topic_id=23100&mesg_id=23100

Here's the website where the new information will appear once the new moon occurs:

2. Thanks for both of those links, Dream
This New Moon is almost exactly conjunct my Sun in the 5th.

It's conjunct yours, too, Metta! (if you're reading this - though I can't remember what house offhand, just that your Sun is 4 Virgo):-)

5. Thanks, Metta
for the doughnut and the info. :D

It's in your 2nd house. I don't know a lot about the new moons, to be honest; I'm trying to observe them and eclipses in my own life for any patterns.

If it would affect you, perhaps it's a new way of making money (or a bonus), a boost to your self esteem or your value system. :hi:

Do you mean chemical sensitivity? I have that. I only use natural or simple (ie hydrogen peroxide or lemon juice/borax paste) cleaners. Unfortunately, the rest of the world doesn't. :puke:

6. Didn't we do this earlier this month, too?

.... as a result of my wishing; my electricity has been turned off, I have to pull money from my 401k to pay rent, my job is insane (I'm organizing 5 project managers, all of whom make 6-figure salaries to my puny $35k), the job I (think I) was offered has vanished and the man with whom I've finally been making strides after 5 years of cat n' mouse has disappeared into thin air also.

Oh and I'm having the period from hell.

Wishes ? Eh. Just not feeling too full of faith at the moment. :(

I wonder if you're going through some really bad astrological period right now. :scared:

We last did this towards the end of July, which was the last new moon. We had a full moon earlier this month. Maybe this is what you're remembering?

8. It must have been July - time flies!
'Cause I remember carrying a little post-it pad around with me and writing out my wishes every day for those 3 days (it was like, 11 am Tues thru 6 pm Thurs or something that was the 'ideal time') ...

Thanks for the hug. I know things could be alot worse, but I'd just like to catch a little break from the drama, y'know? I just turned 40 - stupid shit like this shouldn't be happening to me anymore.

Can you think of just one thing you are grateful for? I am thinking that, if you can, for a few moments a day, think of something that you really are grateful for, and, say "thank you" from the bottom of your soul, maybe this will help.

Just a thought.

And, I also wanted to add that I am so sorry that things continue to be so very stressful in your life.

Yes ~ there are alot of things I am thankful for, and as I mentioned, I know things could be alot worse ... but the hits just keep comin'.

I do need to focus on the good, and express my gratitude to Spirit, and hope that good things manifest from those seeds.

13. The job
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 06:03 PM by votesomemore
I had to run a project once where I was the only office "staff". The rest were VPs EVPs and Managers. I was new to chairing the endless meetings. They evidently had three hours to waste and he-haw. I did not. I got some great advice from my Toastmasters group. Set an AGENDA. Print it out and pass it out. Anything off topic goes on the parking lot white board. They love to get you off track given the chance. Obviously you are in that position for a reason! You can do it! You might make a few jaws drop, but they get used to it and you get your job done. Check back. I loved project management more than almost anything. I envy you having that challenge.

And I got my cute boss to be the time keeper. She used to pound her little fist on the table to say "TIME IS UP". That really helped :D

14. Oh, I'm quite organized ...
.. it just cranks me that these asshats who make 100k+ a year are so stupid they need ME at 35k/yr to run their meetings, build their websites & project plans, manage their budgets & resources and when all is said and done, they're the ones that get the bonuses and the promotions if we meet our objectives and I - who by their own admission - am the one who held the things all together - can't even afford to pay my fucking rent.

I don't want alot - in terms of money, or things, or whatever --- I just want for the pressure that's coming at me from all sides, to ease up a little. :(

15. I can't advise
on the periods. That part of my life is over. But do you have Mind Manager? It is a great brainstorm, organizing tool. It was a real hit with the EVP, but sounds like you are already there!

I have a little financial breathing room right now, but do know what that strap is like. I don't know what will happen after next month. At least you have the 401, ya know? I've read the threads here and feel it more and more how we are all in a vice at this moment in history. Something has got to sway. Or maybe not. Maybe this is just one more day in nightmare history. And we are only here to ask "why"? I hope you are not lonely. That is the hardest thing I've ever faced.

you are not alone - they had turned our gas off a couple of months ago - it was embarrassing but what do you do, when you say, you will pay at a certain day and they say they won't wait, and you have to choose between power & water or gas. Cold showers - cooking on bbq - power is more serious- but it boils down to either you pay for your families' food or utilities. Thank the cosmos you still had something to fall back on.

You know, as in the book, "Conversations With God", the HEP (highly evolved) people our society maybe should work towards the concept of everyone having the basic necessities of existence supplied - it should be the responsibility of all of us that all of us can just "exist". What each of us does beyond, is upon us and our individual responsibility.

Hang there - we're in this together

22. Hi Hippiechick
My heart goes out to you. I believe a little differently than some of the others on this board. I guess I don't worry about astrological aspects, I just rely on the "law of attraction". Experience has taught me that worry and being depressed over what is going on in my life will only attract more of the same. It took many years of creating negative chaos in my life to help me learn that being "down" is only counter-productive.

I believe if we can "raise our frequency" we can accomplish great things in a small amount of time. I teach people to do this technique and it is really simple. Put yourself in a meditative state and ask for help from your guides. After you are really relaxed (listening to some music helps a lot)just keep repeating "I'm raising my frequency". After a few minutes of this, you will feel a shift. Give yourself permission to enjoy this new energy--you don't deserve to be depressed.

I have a disability from an "incurable" muscle disease. I was diagnosed in 2000 and most people with this disease would be in a wheelchair by now. I have used this technique to heal my body. Although I can't work yet, I am still very ambulatory and improving every day. My doctors are amazed at my progress.

Consequently, I am "livin' off my old man" these days. A year and a half ago, he couldn't find work and we were in dire straits. I helped him with these methods and he literally got a job offer within 24 hours (no reference check or anything). Once he started this job, it was obvious we needed more money to be comfortable, so I raised the frequency of his job/career/salary. Within about 60 days, he got a 40% raise! I have also made it work for others, so I will do one of these processes for you. I will put the energy out there in the universe and you are free to accept it or not.

I have had these things happen time and time again when I can discipline myself to raise my frequency, and the frequency of issues that concern me. When I succumb to my emotions and let the outside world get me down, I attract more negative chaos.

"Out of chaos comes order. Out of order comes chaos.". You can never move forward in your life without creating some kind of change (chaos). If your frequency is low, that chaos will be created randomly and will be negative. If your frequency is high, that chaos will be in the form of positive activity and action. Since you mention that you are trying to find another job, you have declared that you want change and you may be creating "negative" chaos by being depressed. Our body/mind/spirit will conspire to create change when we seek change. It's up to us to raise our frequency so that the change is positive.

I don't want to sound "preachy" with this message, because I know how terribly difficult it can be to raise yourself out of a funk. I was so low a few years ago, that I went out and bought a little night table book that was titled "Things to be Thankful For" or something like that. I read this book for a couple of hours and felt my frequency start to rise. I used it everyday for awhile to pull myself up out of the muck. It worked and things started to get better both physically and financially.

I send you love and light and all the good energy I can muster.

Bluestar

Maybe to stop at the health food store for EPO on your way far, far away from the life you now lead? Just a thought, but if my life were that way I would try for some drastic changes somehow. Time to get a sailboat and sail around the world?

Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 09:53 PM by BlueIris
I mean, I know that is probably the last thing you want to read, but...well, I might PM you later with why I think imbalance and not being on your path are the problems here. With a nice, unhealthy dose of self-non-love. I don't know if getting a boat and sailing randomly around the world is the answer, but it might be time to sit down for a while, and really, seriously focus on what you want to be doing. Because there's no way I believe it can be what you're trying to do now, if this is the way it's "working out."

34. It's not what I want or am meant to do ...
... I've missed (or wasted, depending on how one looks at it) my chances )and Spirit's graced me with several opportunities) at 'doing what I want' in this life, because of my laziness and my inability to stick to something once I start it.

I practically had it handed to me 3 times over the past 15 years, and copped out every time, taking the easy way and avoiding what Spirit intended for me ... so I suppose this is the price I pay, in this life, anyway, and I'll get to come back at least one more time and try again to play by her rules.

I see this. I realize it. I accept it.
It just sucks to know that the shit I'm swimming in is of my own creation.

35. Ah, but what insight you have, hippiechick. One of the most important...
steps, in my opinion, is to realize our part in the creation of our reality, and you've done this. Sounds to me as though the lesson has been learned, so maybe the karma will be released. I believe more chances are given to those who have learned their lessons.

Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 11:48 PM by BlueIris
I'm quite proud of my choices. I really feel like I've struck a balance between wishing for what I want for personal reasons and wishing for what I need in order to do what I should be accomplishing to achieve the goals I set out for myself before I incarnated (sort of the same thing) and that this month is the time when I will most effectively be able to commit to my new process. Less fear, more joy; less confusion, more progress. Good luck to all of those also wishing on this moon!

29. Okay this is late. . .
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 03:44 PM by stellanoir
I'm posting this after the fact. . .

The New Moon occurred at O degrees of Virgo at 3:10 pm EDT on August 23rd.

Zero degrees of Virgo is symbolic of the alpha degree of the whole ridiculously obtuse Virgin/Whore complex. What a colossal dilemma and travesty, one which has resulted in centuries of imbalances between the genders for centuries. More recently, see Viagra for reference, or better not to. Sheesh. That can be the embodiment of vacuity or so I've heard.

The denigration of a decent sexual balance has resulted in a not so holy host of confusion, perversion, and deviance beyond belief but try and tell that to the "family values," repressed gays, and pedophiles, and porn addicted hypocrites. Yikes. It's utterly appalling. When nothing can be more sacred or good clean fun than pure and honest sensuality. IMHO. Heck but I'm just a Jupiter in Scorp perv and somewhat repressed sensualist perhaps.

Original sin is simply, impatience not sex. Period amen. Lot's more on that later.

With Venus approaching a conjunction to Saturn at 17 degrees of Leo on Saturday the 26th at 7:38pm (can you say "me, me, me? not having "big baby" neediness met ? Oh well. ) and Mercury in Leo (can you ever change your mind about anything?) nobody is pretty much listening to much beyond their own inner dialogue. That can be okay though.

Mars in Virgo can be especially and particularly pissy. Mars is approaching a conjunction to the South Lunar Node between the 1st and 2nd of September. Ideally we can all release and resolve some spiritual/sexual and gastric schisms under this influence but time will truly tell. At least consider being mindful of that possibility. Potential Phew !!! there.

In the interim, with Jupiter approaching a point of enormous historical magic at the midpoint of the galactic and intergalactic centers, hope can spring eternal and alchemy is more than possible. That only happens a few times over 12 years, if we're lucky. Perhaps ponder what you'd like to manifest over the the next millennium, give or take a couple centuries or so.

Ceres is still conjoining Neptune both retrograding in Aquarius and could perhaps be confusing us about networking and with whom the heck perchance we would prefer to hang out.

Pallas Athena is at the Solar Apex which may just induce an epiphany or two of clarity. Rottsa ruck with that.

As my fave sign posted over stairwells in Britain used to say. . ."Mind your head."

Oh and since Pluto has most recently been demoted, here are my musings on that most recent occurrence.
