I had a visitation this morning!
Some of you know that my father passed last December. I had several mystical experiences the night of his death and several weeks afterward.

This morning my 8 mo. old golden doodle (she is such a sweetheart - but not at 5:00!) got me up at 5 AM to go out. This is unusual but not unexpected, for a reason that is too long and immaterial to elaborate.

Anyway, I crashed in our heat-massage chair afterwards and had some very vivid dreams, including one where our neighbor, with whom we get along well (despite him being a Bush-bot, we just don't talk politics), knocks over our pool with his truck.

Somewhere in the middle of this dream, I was walking down a hallway and saw my dad. He looked like he did a few years ago, when he was still pretty healthy, relatively speaking. I gave him a big hug and told him how much I missed him and I love him. I literally could feel and smell him as I threw my arms around him and buried my face in his chest. He called me "Liz". He was the only person who called me that (Elizabeth is my middle name) and told me how much he loved me and how proud he was of me.

It was so real that I am still basking in the warmth. I want my daddy!

I wouldn't be surprised if he got our dog up specifically so he could make this visit, as he loved golden retrievers and poodles. I know he would just love this dog!

I want to cry again as I'm typing this.

3. That sounds lovely yasmina,
my Mom died in '95, Dad in '97, and I find it hard sometimes to visualize how they looked, really looked, around the time of their deaths.

But when I have dreams about them - I only had visitations right after they died - I wake up totally amazed at how real in all my senses I have perceived them! It is wonderful.

7. My dad
only came for two years. Regularly. He went on after that and I do miss him terribly. I hang on to the heart treasures he gave me though. Enjoy this time. He may move on.

I'm happy for you, yasmina. Isn't it just the most wonderful feeling--knowing they are there and that they care enough to come through for you?
