Coast To Coast is broadcast nationwide. To find an affiliate who carries the show in your area, click on "help", then at the top of the next page you will see "Affiliates". You will then have a map from which you can chose your state, and so on.
Warning...it is a late, late night show.

"As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from "the space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss's family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career."

4. I signed up for Coast to Coast
I'll let you guys know how the program was after I listen to it.

It's a pretty cool deal. For only $6.95 you can listen to all the programs for the past 90 days and they have them set up as mp3 files, too, so you don't even have to bother recording them for your mp3 player.

5. I'll write up a summary for later, in case anyone's interested
I'm going to work in my garden while listening to the mp3s I downloaded from the Brian Weiss show. I'll post on it after I've heard the show, so stop back if you're interested.

8. I woke up a couple of times trying to hear what he way saying...
but fell back asleep too quickly.
It seemed the commercials were non-ending. I really need to keep the radio OFF if I need the sleep, or so I am finding.
I SO wanted to hear what he had to say.
I would appreciate your posting the gist of it.
Thanks!

9. from the show with Brian Weiss
Brian Weiss says there are multiple dimensions. It's not as simple as we just reincarnate in another life. There are lives which we perceive as being in the future and lives we perceive as being in the past. These lives have been recalled by various clients in his practice and that is how he knows about them.

Brian Weiss says that he is often contacted by scientists and in particular physicists who say that what he has learned from his practice synchs with string theory. Toward the end of Carl Sagan's life, BW had various conversations with him and Carl Sagan remarked that he hadn't been acting like a scientist (in regard to BW's work). His attitude then changed and he was open to the idea that we never die but that we live on in consciousness.

He talked about the various lives recalled by people in his practice. There is one life (perceived as future) where the person said the population of the earth would be great reduced. We would be living a more "back to the farm" style of life that was in harmony with nature. This will take place around the year 3000. Large portions of the earth were not habitable because they are being "restored." Brian Weiss says the avenue to that state is "open." The fact that large portions of the earth were being restored does not necessarily mean that they were destroyed by depleted uranium (think Iraq) or an atomic bomb. It could be just because the people of the earth voluntarily designate them to be that way for a time.

Throughout the show he stressed that nothing is "pre-ordained" and the path is open.

Many of his patients, upon recalling a past life, experience some type of recovery from illness. He had one patient, whom I believe he said was a prominent scientist, who had breast cancer. She was doing meditation and was, as he said, really into it. When it came time for her operation, her tumors had disappeared.

On the above story, I'm not sure I have the details correct. I'm listening to the mp3 again so if I got it wrong, I'll correct myself on another post.

Birthmarks have some significance to previous lives. They can be indicators of how the person died.

It's all about learning. We are here like we go to a school. It is hard to be here and we come here because we want to learn and improve ourselves. What we're here to learn is compassion and love. There is something to the Buddhist idea that we are all one. He said that when we wage war and kill others, we are actually killing a part of ourselves.

Oh and speaking of killing, it's all about learning. If, for example, a person were to kill another person, it would not be de riguere that this person experience being killed. If the person understands that this is wrong, that is all that matters. Thus this changes the "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" concept of karma.

There's more but I'm getting tired. As I listen to the mp3s again, I'll come back and post more.

11. Thank you so much. Very interesting.
Yes many past life regressionists are saying the same thing, that it is very complex, not straight forward past lives. We go back in forth in the past and future. Linear time is only a human construct. It is more like a Merry go round, we can hop on and off at any point. And yes other dimensions may be involved. And some of the lives may not even be literal, but just symbolic down loaded info into our soul DNA to help us evolve more rapidly.

Yes the Weiss's work is consistent with modern quantum physics.

The Sagan comments are very interesting. Yes, a true scientist is open to all possibilities, does not have a closed mind. That is how I started, just open to it all, but a bit skeptical I admit. The more I learned and read, the more natal charts I did, the more data I got that all fit together. In science it is called a parsimonious theory. Something that simply explains all the data, ties everything together.

And yes Free Will is supreme, nothing is fated.

And yes karma is not always and an eye for an eye. It is like I keep saying, you just have to learn the lesson. And the karma is released.

Everything Weiss is saying is consistent with my learning, by beliefs.

15. You are all very welcome
I'm really glad I subscribed. Now I have something to listen to every morning while I garden. If there are other interesting topics, I might start some threads on them and give a synopsis from the show.

Well, I have an odd/funny story to tell you tonight and it involves Brian Weiss.

I went to the university where I teach to pick up some books from my mailbox. These are books I'm considering using for future classes.

Unfortunately, only a few had arrived. It certainly was a disappointment not to get the books I was so looking forward to. These publishers take forever to send professors their review copies.

So to assuage my disappointment, I decided to go to Barnes and Noble and see if they had any interesting books on how to write the research paper (I'm teaching three classes on that topic in a future semester). The BN customer service person took me to the section on grammar, writing, and research papers. I thanked her and then pulled a book from the shelf of the grammar books. I hadn't looked at the title. You'll never guess what it was: one of Brian Weiss's books! It was misplaced in the grammar section at BN!

Man, of all the books in the world to have been misplaced. It was the first one of his that I ever read and in fact, I own a copy.

I'm looking to see if they have enough programs I really want. I checked the past shows; there are some cool ppl that have been on. AND some I think are kooks. Guess that's the risk....:D
