I do, but I didn't bookmark it.

The federal court's decision that the NSA's wiretapping is illegal has been all over DU, though I don't know about the MSM.

Here is some info on the judge who rendered that decision: Anna Diggs Taylor.

3. Yes, exactly. And I think it will be many women who are going to
bring this regime down.

Look at all of the women who are speaking out, one by one, against Bush.

The moral of this story is going to be that it will not
be any one woman. It is going to be a large group of brave
women. From all walks of life, a judge, the mother of a solider, an outed CIA agent, etc.

There was a thread today on GD I think saying that the Repug security moms no longer like Bush. They are a critical piece of his support.

4. I'm with you. I am beginning to think it's the feminine energy
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 04:28 PM by Cleita
of many women that will be his downfall. Although I don't know much about astrology, it's been said that we are entering the Age of Aquarius, and leaving behind the patriarchal Age of Pisces. Aquarius might be bringing in the feminine force that will balance the masculine force that has been dominant for thousands of years.

The Bush cabal and the Republican Party, who thrive on testosterone driven agendas, are losing power to the increasing feminine energy that is emerging. The actual woman though who is the straw that breaks them, I believe is very close to the Bush cabal. This person has a crisis of conscience I believe and will turn informer. We shall wait and see.

Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 05:44 PM by cassiepriam
This means her energy is just being released into our solar system now. As we speak.

Let us begin to feel her power and goodness!

I agree with you Cleita: The age of Aquarius has arrived. Giving me goosebumps.

an Amazon but her sidekick, Gabrielle, was.

They more or less hung out with Hercules bringing bad guys to justice that kind of thing, with a lot of martial arts kick ass action. They also had to deal with the ancient gods, which was good fantasy.

Isn't that a great name?
Xena was a big woman, probably 6 feet tall, buxom, and big-shouldered. She was very capable and stong. No doubt she could have bench pressed *.

43. It was Manila, I saw Cebu City and thought it was Mexico
MANILA, July 1, 2004 (STAR) From Quirino Grandstand to Cebu City, the spotlight yesterday was not only on the country’s second woman president but also on the foreign dignitaries who graced President Arroyo’s inaugural, among them the highest ranking Filipino-American in the White House.

Susan Ralston, executive assistant to senior presidential adviser Karl Rove, was US President George W. Bush’s representative to the occasion along with Secretary of Veterans Affairs Anthony Principi and Adm. Thomas Fargo, commander of US forces in the Pacific.
Ralston, 36, was last in Manila during the state visit of President Bush in October last year.
Born in York, Pennsylvania, Ralston’s parents are Filipino; her father, Tom Bonzon, is from Rizal and her mother, Tita Lagman, from Quezon City.

As Rove’s executive assistant, she described her typical 13- to 15-hour work day as tough. Her job, she said, include "assisting her boss in strategic planning, political affairs, public liaison and inter-governmental affairs efforts at the White House."

Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 03:09 AM by votesomemore
almost sounds like a prayer or song to Goddess. Let us make it so.

We are the creators of the planet.
Life comes forth from our love and bodies.
Nothing exists without our permission.

We are the creators.

We weld the power of the Universe.
She has given to us the power to create.

There are those who plot to steal and
take that which does not belong to them.
They leave the dying dead.

But the blood we offer is greater.
It is life blood from whence children spring.

No slaying can overcome us. We are the Life Givers.
The Power is in our being.

Please add your own verses. .. I like this idea. Women own our Power.

for a long time, will work on it.

17. The reversal
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 07:31 PM by in search of sanity
In my mind, the fact that the queen is reversed indicates that it is someone who used to back him but now turns on him.
Another possibility: Katherine Harris. However, she is so batshit nuts that noone will listen to her.
In my mind, the card reversal eliminates Cindy Sheehan, Plame, and some others.

On edit --- Maybe I've confused this thread with Cleita's recent tarot spread. There she had a King reversed in the near future spot. Is the queen we're talking about here reversed or straight up? If straight up, I have problems believing that the Queen is a turncoat or someone acting out of revenge or similar base motives.

Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 11:39 AM by Cleita
I believe this is a difference in methods that we use. In other words she would show the characteristics of a straight up Queen of Wands not the reverse. Although as crossing him she would be in opposition to the reverse Justice that covered him.

35. I usually don't even use reversed cards.
The spread positions do a fine job of making the statement needed and with the understanding that a card has both 'negative' and 'positive' qualities inherent. Also, when I read for other people, I rarely use the Celtic Cross. Amazingly, very decent readings come from a smaller spread. I haven't been practicing much lately, but sure do need to spend some time with my cards. Thanks for the encouragement.

37. I did start this one >
This came to me in a dream state. The idea is not original for Tarot layouts. It is the typical four card N/S/W/E with one medicine wheel meaning assigned to the positions. In the dream there were also three cards face down in the middle to be turned over at the end of the reading of the four corners. I cannot remember the interpretations exactly. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm anxious to hear them. North = Wisdom . South = Truth/Love . West = Inner Vision . East = Open Horizons and ability to see the World.

I haven't used the layout yet. I feel like I need a native american deck. Maybe one will come my way.

But, I've used that layout in a couple of smudge situations, and found it to be very powerful. In fact, I think each time I use it the power increases.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=245&topic_id=24271

I don't consider myself any kind of Tarot teacher. I learn from others. There are many great sites that give layout suggestions. Or you can make up your own, as needed. Here's a start >
http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/tarotspreads .. There are many others. I would love to discuss Tarot more.

Some readers I know throw a yearly and monthly spread for themselves. When I was first learning, I did use a daily one card draw. That's a pretty good habit to have. Write about it. I don't keep up with my old card reading group any more. Other things came along. But they are still there, I get the emails. They offer a free personal reading site, and the readers are awesome and very serious about Tarot. Maybe I'll reconnect. This is the site > http://worldtarotreaders.com

the women of the East, who are enslaved at this time, will add to our energy. We are so fortunate to be able to express ourselves without fear of immediate death. Let us pray for our sisters on the other side of the planet, who may be afraid, but have the same energy. The same gifts we do. They stand with us. And so it is.
