Very strange dream last night

I absolutely never have dreams like this, so can any of you offer some thoughts about it?

It was an amazingly vivid dream with sound, physical sensation, and emotions.

I dreamed I was visiting my godmother, who lives a few miles from the NJ shore. In the dream, she lived next to a tidal river right hy the coat. In real life I haven't visited her in a couple of decades.

I looked out a window and caught a glimpse of a mountain of water from the ocean heading toward the house at top speed. I had just enough time to shout a warning for everyone to take cover and hold on to something. The tsunami wave hit, pushing the house off its foundation onto the road, along with lots of other things. I can vividly remember the sensation of being in the house when it was moving and scraping along the ground.

We all survived the hit, and only a small amount of water got in the house.

Then we discovered another huge wave was about to hit. For some reason, the tv was working, and I caught a brief news report that the worst of the wave damage was along the coast in the Carolinas, where many people were feared dead.

Then by a freak I tuned in some kind of foreign broadcast that said the massive waves were also affecting Europe's Atlantic coasts, and were caused by some kind of monster weapon the US had detonated in the ocean. I wondered what this meant, fearing that the B*sh Misadministration was trying to blackmail the planet into submission.

1. Water

As I recall, dreaming of water is about your spiritual state. ( I sometimes dream of water myself, including dolphins and whales)

My impression is that bush is causing a tidal wave towards a change in conciousness - the fact that you all were ok, I believe, means that change is towards good - that bush's intent is having the opposite effect on people.

2. I concur

I've had very similar dreams when going through big and intense spiritual or emotional changes. I remember one where I was on a mountain (much like the hermit card actually) and I clung to it as a giant wave hit. That was during a time of extreme emotional upheaval in my life, but I came out the better for it. In fact, the dream almost seemed to initiate a cleansing process.

4. hate to say this, but

One of our posters here has a friend who is psychic and is quite accurate. I believe she said NJ would be hit by a tsunami.

I live in NJ and while I don't live near the shore, I've had dreams about my house being up in some trees, soil washed away from underneath.

5. Yes, this dream so reminded me of this article I read some time back....

Earthquakes/volcanic eruptions or collapses in the Canaray Islands possibly causing huge tsunami on Eastern US coast.

6. Let's hope your friend is wrong, NJC

One of the main things I was worried about in the dream was that the B*sh Misadministration was using some kind of weapon that could generate tsunamis, earthquakes and things like that.

I hope your friend is wrong this time -- the NJ coast is heavily populated and it could be a huge disaster.

By the way I live in Rockville, Maryland, though I'm originally from NJ. Grew up in Wayne, went to Rutgers, lived in the New Brunswick area until 1990. My godmother lives in Rumson.

7. I had a dream about all this water moving towards DC

It was a week before the flooding but DC was not washed away only small damage really

8. Sounds like lucid dreaming

with that level of sensation. I've found that a lot of lucid dreams are one-time occurances, or induced by falling asleep in front of the TV. If the same dream sequence happens more than once, then it's time to worry.
