Are you alright? I've been meaning to phone you and haven't gotten a chance to take a breath. I heard that Mother Nature is putting on a show in your neck of the woods and I'm worried, girl. Don't make me have to pray for you all night and worry my po self damn near to death. Stella and the rest of the Sisters and Brothers in the region being threatened and/or affected by this horrid weather, may God protect the lot of you and miraculously keep the tempests at bay.

4. Oh you guys are so funny and thoughtful.

Yup we had a heck of a storm last night with freakishly loud thunder and lightening and the power was out for most of the night. Got a few fallen branches so no biggie. Now all is calm.

The analogy of thunder representing "the gods bowling" always has made me laugh in the face of these kinds of storms.

Ecu I do so appreciate your concerns but I live in a very well constructed old home and am pretty sure I have divine protection and need to stick around for many, many years to come.

You may have been picking up on more of an emotional storm though. It's nothin' serious just a modicum of melodrama to keep things interesting.

oh edit- I just noticed that it leveled some of my hollyhocks but they were already past peak blooming so it's okay really.

also- I just noticed a wooden bench was flipped over and blown about 10 feet and that's a fairly heavy bench. But after seeing the destruction along the Gulf Coast last year, this is totally laughable.

If not but for divine protection I wouldn't have survived the crazy things I went through when I was younger.

I told one of my spiritual teachers that in my youth I'd court the edge in many ways and have my connection to the "Creatrix" affirmed every time, often in quite miraculous ways. He said, "how sad that you had to go to such extremes to be assured of that connection." That gave me great pause.

I wasn't really conscious that I had even done that until it kind of poured out of my mouth, and no longer behave like a cosmic brat so much. Drats & Oh well.

Sheesh my kid just told me we had hail last night before I was awoken by the g-d's bowling antics. Meanwhile we had Portugese Men of War: nasty and toxic jellyfish in mid June that caused the beaches to close. They normally never show up till August. Something is totally weird.

Enjoy your hollyhocks though. Mine are fading fast and I've a horribly case of thripp that's browning out all my glads due to excessive rain.

Ughhh.

Refuse to use chemicals though.

I just heard this morning that the night of the storm, a mini tornado landed 4 miles south of me. Perhaps all your good wishes sent that south so thanks so much again. No one was hurt. An umbrella was regretably destroyed.

You guys may have saved me and I'll be forever in your debt.
