Largest Carpet Bombing Since 2003 in Iraq today
I am so ashamed of my country today and I pray, pray, pray for all this to end and this bunch of criminals in the White House arrested.

I'm so sad for what we have done and become and I dearly pray for the Iraqi people today. Please, lets all pray for change.

1. I am praying that courage and sanity return to the
people of our country. We must find the spiritual and psychological courage to have this
administration thrown out of office and held accountable for the psychical destruction of
Iraq and the destruction of the fabric of our society here in the US.

I felt shame and fear the day of the initial "shock and awe". Shame for what they had done
in their quest for power and glory and oil and fear for what will happen to our country when
our day comes to atone for this horror.

2. This is so depressing and enraging at the same time
I can barely function today knowing that they are killing innocent people in order to look tough on terror after the ports debacle.

My thoughts and hopes for peace and love are a bit hard to muster today but countering the darkness with light is needed, IMHO.

6. It all just seems like a nightmare.
If it seems that way to me, I can only imagine how it feels to the Iraqi citizens who have had to live with this day in and day out for the last 3 years.

7. a note of encouragement
Yes it is deplorable and horrible and I, too, have been upset by it. It so disgusted me to see all the Pentagon footage on the network propaganda news. Ah yes, we're supposed to be enthralled at the sight of those helicopters and other extravagant war machines our tax dollars have bought.

Aren't we the sick ones for being nauseated and disgusted by it.

 :puke:

Oh and btw, go to the CBS news web site to see that the "top story" is Brangelina. Oh yes, indeed, at 7:07 p.m. EST, that's what's at the top of the list.

But there was one very encouraging story on the evening news that almost made me cry for the goodness of these people. This was on CBS but it isn't considered a "top story" so there is no footage of it at their site.

The story was about a group of peace activists who have taken up "spotting" at the airport. They are watching the U.S. rendition flights and have managed to identify quite a number of them. What's key is they are HAVING AN EFFECT! Not only has the Shannon Civic Offices voted that they will inspect all these flights, the group has managed to get the rendition flights on the agenda of Birdie O'Hearn when he speaks with bush!

This just made me feel so good! Time to repeat that quote:

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. Margaret Mead

GO IRISH PEACE ACTIVISTS!!!

8. Has anyone written about links between the timing and geography of
events that are unprecedented in our country -

. that the area of Iraq is considered the Cradle of Civiliztion.
. that the end of this era in considered to be 2012 according to Mayan teachings.
. that the U.S. has invaded the Cradle of Civilization in the decade before 2012 in a war that some think will go on for years (because profiteers and controllers want it so).
. that it is unprecedented because we should know better after our history of invasions, especially Vietnam which everyone living knows about and most of the world deplored, while they may not know about Central America, the heart of Mayan country, which we also invaded in the half century before 2012.

Our country appears to be extremely fragile in every way except for the connections growing between the little people of the worlds all over the globe, but particularly within this hemisphere.

I'm beginning to be affirmed that the predatory and previously dominating and abusive aggressors on this earth are being exposed and that exposure is good.

10. Are we going to kill every man, woman, and child in Iraq?
The pics on the news tonight of all the military power being unleashed made my blood run cold. To my very soul. It is horrifying. I can only imagine the living hell that Iraq has become.

All done in our name. May God have mercy on our souls.
