Just woke up from on this one.
I had traveled to my family home for a vacation (can't remember too much of the vacation part) and was packing to return, with less than an hour to get to the airport. It seemed that I was running the clock packing things that I brought along that were either totally unnecessary (nick-knacks, jewelry, better/dressier clothing than I usualy wear on vacation) or that I hadn't brought along with me in the first place.
One of the latter was a pair of boots that I had long-since discarded, but they had an interesting history. When I first bought them as a teen, my mom hit the ceiling at the money I'd spent (over $100), but 10 years later when they were still in great shape, conceded that it was a good purchase. The other space-taking thing I hadn't brought was a camera bag that came with my first eBay purchase (not such a great bargain), also since thrown out. I couldn't figure out how I was going to stuff everything in the lugggage I came with.
