Salvation -- and Answers -- Arrive At Last (attn: Rick)

I'm really into OWS. Big cheerleader, big promoter and publicizer. If I had any money, they'd certainly have more. I read everything I can, bookmark and share links, etc.

I'm especially interested in any analysis, especially if it tends to validate my own sense and hope that OWS is permanent (in its way) and will be making permanent changes in our society. I have felt, intuitively, that there are "new forms" arising out of the movement that will serve us well in the days ahead, and horizontal non-leadership leadership is certainly one of those new forms! Who could have imagined? Certainly not I, with a fistful of Leo running amok fairly regularly in my own chart.

I want to see the WORLD united. I was ecstatic -- remember this? -- when the whole world united on one day in 2003 to protest against the whole idea of a war on Iraq, and both felt and hoped that wasn't the first time we'd unite to express our collective intents, wishes, desires, DEMANDS, out in the open. I'm also ecstatis when I see people from other countries here at DU, as well as other places I go. I'm counting on the internet to do a really global thing and help make us one people. I really am.

And I'm counting on The Occupy Movement as well.

Last night I wandered over here and chose a nice big handful of threads to read but didn't finish before bedtime (saving some of the best for last -- today). I've been especially interested in Rick's articles re OWS. (He really is a brilliant astrologer -- and funny, too! I got such a kick out of this line re the Neptune Chiron conjunction and the healthcare debate: "Chiron wants people healed. Neptune means everybody." I burst out laughing (maybe my Pisces Sun sign found special relevance?)

Anyway, I am lovin', lovin', lovin' that article as I'm reading it -- slow, to absorb and really get the feeling, lots of tears in my eyes so a couple of times I have to find a tissue to either dab at my eyes or blow my nose.

Then, I hit the punchline. Oh. My. Goddess. Bawl City. I cried and cried, couldn't stop crying. I could still cry. First I took it not just as validation that my own sense that OWS would bring permanent change was on target, but a veritable PROMISE that that was so.

Suddenly, everything came into focus. Everything -- the work we did in the 60s as prelude (we didn't know enough about the Deep Politics to go after the whole beast we couldn't see and didn't know about at the time and also faced too much opposition from the bulk of the American people).

As I cried so many things went through my mind. For one thing, I was a bit surprised at how very deeply I am invested in OWS. I knew I was, I just didn't realize HOW much. For another, I came to understand more about my own life -- I've had no grand accomplishments, but I along with millions of my peers of all ages have been right here holding the space for this and so much more that's about to unfold. It's as if Spirit said, "See? You can relax a bit now, take a deep breath. See what you and all the others have done? It's begun. It's unstoppable. Relax." (I'm crying again.)

I now understand what a woman in GD meant when she said about OWS, "I've been waiting for this my whole life." In a very large sense, so have I. So have we all, I believe. OWS isn't the entire answer, of course, but it IS the beginning, the blessed beginning.

I hadn't planned to post the specific excerpt in case anyone hadn't read the article, but I think I will this makes more sense (but DO read the article):

Rick -- I've been reading and enjoying your posts for quite some time before I paid to join ASAH the other day. I wanted to point out to you that lurkers can't see any sig lines members have, so unless you had a link in your post there was never any way to follow up with you, get on your newsletter list, etc. I'd encourage you to consider making sure you have a link to your website at least within each OP.

Beautifully put. I am not as much of an OWS participant as I'd like, what with kids and life struggle etc... but I have been an avid proponent, here and elsewhere, definitely using social media more as a result. Thanks for mentioning the global aspect too, because that is why the movement is so amazing to me as well. It is like we are truly experiencing a whole wave of consciousness move across the planet.

For a long time I have been wondering how we get to unity from the drastic polarity we are all experiencing.
OWS is showing us how, just show up and BE in COMMUNITY together.

When the movement first started I had a moment where is just struck me as so beautiful and amazing that we were actually coming together and unity consciousness was gaining ground, i wept in telling a friend about the movement...that "We are the 99%" is more than just a catchy way of expressing the IN-equality of everything...but also an amazing calling for us to BE part of Critical Mass. :)

Anyway, just a few thoughts that you spurred this morning, thanks. And thanks for acknowledging Rick's poignant prose...he has become a beacon of knowing to me as well, and I am grateful for ASAH and him and so many others here who share intuitions and understandings that I would not know of had I not met them :loveya:

6. This "just happened" to land in my mailbox a bit ago. Amazing.

Did I mention how very moved I was by the incredible anti-war protests on that one day in 2003 -- Feb. 15 was the day. And here'a trailer for a new documentary being done:

There was one scene that brought back the full feeling of the psychic wound I felt that we were not successful in stopping that war. But otherwise, it's a wonderful video. I have to say, one of the things that impressed me so at that time was the exuberance and joy of the participants. Looking back, it was a little like we were feeling our oats and were delighted to find ourselves together and celebrating our togetherness and unity, even while we were protesting something so ominous and dreadful. I said then, at the time, that I felt strongly that this movement would be the beginning of other things. The documentary aims to show that to be true, that this one day spawned the Arab Spring and all that's come since. It would be interesting to look at the astrology for both.
