Planetary Hours? Circadian Rythyms...?
Why are some people "early birds' and some 'nightowls'...?

I am having some interesting waves of energy becoming MUCH more pronounced this week.
Especially the tendency for my brain/body to crap out by 2pm and not come back 'online' till 5pm...then i have a second wind till at least 10 or 11pm..

:wtf:

so does anyone know planetary hours or body rythyms? is there a lull in certain hormones or sugars or something that happens at certain times?

2. I know my bio rythyms are at the lowest ebb
around 3 in the afternoon. I am almost comatose until about 5 pm and then I start coming around again.

3. My family was talking about this awhile ago.
It may just be coincidence, but the people in our family who were born in the afternoon or evening are night owls and will gravitate back to that schedule whenever they're able to. The few that were born in the morning seem to be morning people. My son is one of those morning people and he can't seem to sleep past 7:00 even if we paid him to do it. My daughter, hubby and I have always been night owls. We could regularly go to bed at 2-3am if our schedules would let us.

Which totally explains why I'm always tired - I stay up with my daughter and hubby and get up with my son :(

BTW, we've tested this with members of our extended families on both sides and it seems to be pretty accurate, but like I said, it could just be coincidence.

5. I don't think it is coincidence...
I was born at three in the morning, and I am a SERIOUS night owl. I HATE getting up early if I've gone to sleep before 5AM. Growl. :)

6. I have heard of that phenomenon too
I was born at midnight, lol and yes...could go to bed at 1am and get up at 10am easily. If i wake up before 8am i feel sick :(

ya, that afternoon dip is a weird one
I know there are ways to eat healthy and prevent the dip

It's just weird cuz it feels way more pronounced lately... maybe it's the 'dog days of summer' and i want to sleep thru the hottest part pf the day!

7. There is a chapter on the Daily Rhythms of the Organs
in the book Moon Time, by Johanna Paungger and Thomas Poppe.

http://www.amazon.com/reader/1844133001?_encoding=UTF8&query=small%20intestine#reader_1844133001

From One to Three in the Afternoon--Small Intestine

"Heart activity and circulation sink, and the small intestine, which bears the main burden in many digestive processes, tries to come into its own."

This is a great book to have on your shelf.

Also recommend Guided by the Moon, by Johanna Paungger and Thomas Poppe
