Astrologically speaking...anyone ever play 'what if'?
And by that I mean, have you ever calculated your birth data as if you had been born one day earlier (or later) than you were? As if you had been born on your actual due date (for the many who were not)? Or messed with your official birth data in some other appropriate way, then calculated your chart from there?

Well, I just did and I'm having an epiphany of sorts. My birthday is May 14, and mother has always said that I probably would have been born more quickly if she and my father had gone to the hospital sooner. She's also said she always thought I should have been born on Mother's Day (which was on May 13 the year I was born) and I would have been if she been "a little faster" with that whole labor process (and please, before anyone posts it, no, it's not like I resent my mom for being too 'slow'). For those and some other additional reasons, I've always felt that May 13 should have been my birthday. So, I just recalculated my natal chart as if I had been born at the same time, 24 hours prior to my official birth date. The new chart represents my life and personality much more accurately than the old one did.

I'm sure lots of you experts would love to tell me why what I did is ridiculous, and feel free if you want--those of you who follow the Vedic tradition are probably laughing heartily--but I'm just curious, has anyone else ever done anything like this? If so, did you find the readjustment enlightening?

1. I've never tried that, but
When I was pregnant, I was scheduled to be induced and was very upset about it. I just felt like nature should decide when my child should be born, not my doctor's sleeping schedule.

A few days before my scheduled delivery, my mother came by to visit and told me I was going to deliver that day (it was already 2 in the afternoon). She had had her astrologer look at the upcoming days and discovered that the only day that resulted in a child with similar aspects to our family occurred on that day.

Three hours later, I went into labor. That night, I was still truckin' along and thought there was no way I'd have the baby before midnight. Next thing I knew, the cord wrapped around the baby's neck and had to be taken by forceps. My baby was born before midnight.

So, because of that, I've always felt that my child was born on the right day.

2. I'm the type of person

That believes everything happens for a reason. I was supposed to be born in August but I was born in July a few weeks early. Sometimes when I get down in the dumps I think I wasn't supposed to be here because I had a hole in my heart and had to have heart surgery and other things with life but than I snap out and think I am here and it has to be for some reason. I wouldn't be here if ther wasn't a reason. I may not know that reason yet or be confused about it but I do know there is something.

3. My due date was a month later
than the day I was born.

Just out of curiousity, I put in the data at astro.com.

Nope, not even close. A very airy chart...I'm earth with lots of fire. I've always found that I have the most difficulty relating to the air signs (I have no planets in air, and only 1 planet in the air houses - only my Desc is air).
