I hate it when I know this pecker is just starting retro. I like it much better when I'm blissfully ignorant and before I find out -we're half done with it!

2. Wanna hear something strange?

Normally, as a Taurus who can get blocked relatively easily, I feel appropriately stifled under a Mercury retrograde. Today, as of last night actually, I feel--clear. Well, clearer than I do under a Mercury retrograde, normally. Which is good because Dec. 3 (? Right?) is the day before a grand square supposedly moves into the world of Taurus and starts kicking our ass, giving us way too much to do. Hopefully, this greater freedom I'm experiencing during this Merc retrograde means I will have found something more to do by the time the square arrives. Here's how I'm trying to think of it--if I have to be in a hyper-productive work state, I'd rather be accomplishing something. That's how I'll try to use the square. And at least I'll feel more prepared for it if this unusual retrograde keeps up.

3. Unusual reaction

I'm a Sag, and usually Mercury retrogrades hit me right between the eyes. Sometimes I can't even get the phone to work! This time, I have become a fountain of communication. Been firing off e-mails, including one seeking a new job at a place I used to work. Thing is, I'm not sure whether all the yapping is a good thing!

4. I too have been

feeling more focused, directed and communicative than normal during a Merc Retro phase. I am a Libra with Capricorn rising and a Capricorn moon.

Anyway, I guess it is a good thing since this is the wrong time of year to feel bogged down!

Interesting. I'm a Taurus with a Scorpio Ascendant (Moon in Capricorn). My Mercury is also in Taurus.

6. But it retrogrades

back into Scorpio.
We still have Mars retro in Taurus. It goes direct on 12-9 but is in shadow until 2/4/06. (When it gets back to 23 Taurus when it first stationed rx)

Saturn goes retro on on Nov 22, and Venus on December 24 from 1 Aquarius to 16 Capricorn.

Uranus goes direct on November 16th. All the outer planets will be direct then.

Just interesting times.

8. I'm having my usual Mercury R/X

Meltdown. Having 6 Planets, a Rising sign, and an asteroid in Mercury ruled Constellations..I'm pretty much shut down for the interim.

I can feel it when it starts and I can feel it when it begins to get better(i.e.. when Mercury gets passed its Stationary mark and goes full steam ahead).

I work in a co-op and there's been the usual snafus associated with deliveries and communication. I just wish I could announce to everyone at work that Merc is R/X and don't expect me to be brilliant for awhile.

9. WHEN does this sh*t let up?

I just feel like I have been screwed at every turn in the last couple months. I've written the same professional exam twice now--can't pass the damn thing--and work has felt like I'm spinning my wheels. I feel like I'm working in a freak show given the level of general insanity going on around me.

Family illness abounds. Fortunately, I have been healthy, however, and I do celebrate that. (In fact, I've lost 15 lbs on the South Beach Diet!)

I read about this retrograde, and I cringe. I read about this upcoming Grand Cross and I can't decide if I should hide under the bed and babble incoherently or else just run screaming into the streets until they lock me away for observation...

Does this stuff EVER let up?

10. I've been getting slammed by MR for the past three weeks--

yeah, yeah, yeah, I know it didn't officially begin til this week but the shadow effect for me always kicks in a little early, considering I've got like 3 planets in Virgo and my moon in Sagittarius. I HATE, LOATHE, and DESPISE, Mercury retrogrades!

11. mercury retrograde AND a full moon

yikes! I can't wait for this week to be over.

I can't seem to get anything accomplished, I can't get people to cooperate with me at work and people just seem to be grumbling and pissy in general.

12. No wonder DH and I are having problems

with our cell phones. Somehow my cell phone got changed and EVERY CALL was charged roaming rates. YIKES! And all my calls were local. There was a charge for $50 on my bill for a call across town! My husband called the company and they removed the charges. We have no idea how that happened unless he was fooling around with the phone and changed it to that mode. Whew! I'll be glad when Mercury goes direct.

13. My Verizon DSL went down on Sunday....had an appointment set

for a technician to come to my home on Wednesday.....took the day off at my own expense......they never showed........grrrrrrrrrrrrrr......I cancelled the service.......went back to dial up............things were going great until Sunday.

If this is previews of coming attractions during this retrograde period....wake me when it's over!

14. I'm starting to believe in this mercury retrograde thing...

I'm a Sagittarius with a grand trine in fire signs but I'm not too knowledgeable about astrology beyond the basics. So WTF is going on this week?

Like for example I needed to do something vital on computer before leaving the house and all of a sudden the power went out for no apparent reason (and stayed out for hours after which it was magically restored).

Then next day I went to the basement level of the house and there was a young black snake slithering around down there and now nobody will go down there because I couldn't catch him. I tried to name him "Scooter Libby" to lighten things up, but still nobody will do laundry, or put out recycle, or use tools--everything that has to do with going into Scooter's containment area has stopped indefinitely. Scooter continues to be scarce.

Next day I missed an important appointment just by looking at the wrong page in my appt book.

Next day I was trying to get ready to go somewhere important and proceeded to drop a full quart can of latex paint on my feet. The lid was not on tight and white paint oozed all over my black shoes. Splashed everywhere else too. Much lost time.

Today it took me an hour to make a trip by car that usually takes 15 minutes. Don't ask about all the weird obstacles in the way.
Too numerous.

I've concluded that this is NOT a time to try to do things on a tight schedule. Might as well kick it down a notch. Feels like fighting an invisible demon that keeps setting traps...

So is this a typical Mercury retrograde, or is it worse for us Sagittarians?

15. My Mercury Retrograde Problems

Took an unexpected day off to try and fax papers from my computer. I'd been signed on with the service for two weeks. The company refused to recognize my account. Tried to e-mail and the fax still didn't go through. I finally had to go to Kinko's the next day and use their fax. (Unexpected expense). My check bounced, and my kitty is still at the vet's. Was late for work yesterday doing the fax thing. I dread to see what's next, though relieved that Thursday is a holiday and I will get to stay home-and out of trouble.

16. GOD. MR is officially fucking with me. I don't like it...

Sucks. Phone's screwed up, roommate communication is screwed up, communication with online friends is screwed up--damn you Mercury!!! Damn you to hell!
