Solstice celebration

I'm thinking of putting on a solstice celebration for my Unity congregation. I want to do something which reflects solstice celebrations in various different cultures, particularly northern european (I used to be into Asatru) and native american. There doesn't seem to be too much known about ancient yule ceremonies but I was thinking that a bonfire featuring a large yule log would be appropriate along with food, drink and music of course. Any input is appreciated.

2. a coworker of mine did and annual solstice party

where the theme was 'St. George defeats the Dragon'. Not christian themed - but a sort of 'passion play' of 'the light defeating the darkness'. Standard Solstice theme worldwide and something much needed these days, methinks.
