My friends at Rivendell are having an auction.

Who they are:

The mission of Rivendell ReCreation Center, Ltd. is to provide year-round hippotherapy, developmental riding and/or vaulting, and sports/recreational riding for all handicapped children and adults with medical permission, giving the participants continuing opportunities to improve physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in ongoing socio-leisure activities within the community... About the Project:

...Herd about Rivendell? Rivendell ReCreation Center is a private, all-volunteer, not-for-profit corporation in South Wales, New York, that has been dedicated since 1984 to horseback riding programs for mentally, emotionally and physically challenged children and adults.

...We are embarking on an exciting new art project/fund raising event called Horsin' Around Rivendell. We are seeking donations of 5 to 12 inch toy plastic horse statues for decoration by area artists in our own miniature equine version of Herd About Buffalo.

As the horses are collected they will be numbered and photographed and then they will be dispersed to participating artists. Decorations are limited only by the artist's imagination.

These Rivendell Creations will be displayed to the public online and then auctioned. 100% of the proceeds will go to Rivendell.... (more)
