What Momentous Event Will Today Bring? (Aug 25)
August 25 is the third date predicted by astrologer Dr. Louis Turi where a big event will take place. So far he is batting two out of three.

What Will Happen Today?

From the C2C program summary:

"* August 25, 2010-- "Nothing less than shocking" will occur at this time, a natural disaster as big as the Asian tsunami. This date has been confirmed by his ET contacts.

These negative events are part of the astrological 'tail of the dragon' cycle, which will reach its end in March 2011, he said."

Looking at the news headlines, I am wondering if it could be Hurricane Danielle, which is affecting Bermuda:

http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2010/08/24/danielle-regains-hurricane-status/?hpt=T2

This might affect the Atlantic coast.

I just arrived back in NJ last night from a week-long trip but Mr. Cher tells me it's been raining for days. It is raining now as I type, but I don't know if it's from the hurricane or another weather system.

I've been watching Turi's predictions ever since I heard them on a C2C program in early June. This is a cut and paste of the other dates with comments from me in red:

The following is excerpted from program summaries at C2C Web site:

"He warned that the following dates (or within 48 hours of them) could bring especially troubling events:

* June 29, 2010-- possibility of explosion/volcano/earthquake up to 6.5.

On this one there was a 6.5 earthquake within 48 hours of June 29. This earthquake was in Oaxaca, Mexico. Link: http://www.scribd.com/doc/33731264/Mexico-City-Earthquake-June-29th-2010

* July 10 + July 26, 2010-- thousands may have to relocate due to something like a tsunami or hurricane.

At first I didn't think this one came true as you can see from what I say on the following link. However, the event had just happened and I didn't realize the magnitude of it. Kookaburra, did, though, and posted:

Indeed, this story continues and seems to be getting worse. Here is a DU thread of pictures showing the enormous amount of water and the fact that 800,000 people have no place to go:

I'll be keeping my eyes on the headlines. If you see something you might think will develop into the situation described, please post it here.

1. thanks for the timeline info
I would have just blown this info off, thinking it's another chicken little effect... but the recent hits and dates do make this more feasible i suppose...

I don;t think Danielle has enough Oomph to do that kind of damage, we shall see what happens...

thanks for the heads up. Lets send healing prayers to the Mother Earth right now for the souls affected by the massive changes afoot...

2. Maybe it's the oil-eating microbes in The Gulf?

Not a disaster...just the opposite, of course. But rather monumentally miraculous, if true, in my book.

As BonzaiBonnie has recommended, I'm sending vibes of gratitude in that direction...

3. These kind of statements must be guarded against...
"These negative events are part of the astrological 'tail of the dragon' cycle, which will reach its end in March 2011, he said."

The planets are not negative anymore than "life is negative"

Use a whole salt shaker with this "astrologer"

My 2 cents :hi:

4. He doesn't say that
His quote says the events are negative, not the planets.

5. I'm afraid I must object...
Quoting him, "These negative events are part of the astrological 'tail of the dragon' cycle,"

There are no parts of the cycle of the "tail" (South Node of the Moon) that are negative. Negative results come from misuse of positive energies. :hi:

A huge chunk of ice about the size of Bermuda has cracked off Canada’s largest remaining Arctic ice shelf.

The ancient slab of ice, measuring about 50 square kilometres in area and almost 400 metres thick, broke away from the Ward Hunt Ice Shelf on Ellesmere Island’s northern coast last week, the Canadian Ice Service said Aug. 25.

The breakup points to the profound change underway in the Arctic and the accelerating loss of a unique and “majestic” part of Canada’s landscape, says John England, University of Alberta earth scientist.

The Ward Hunt is the largest of the remaining ice shelves that have clung to Ellesmere Island for 3,000 to 5,000 years. They contain the oldest sea ice in the northern hemisphere, England says, and have no counterpart in Greenland or Russia.

“They’re our California redwoods, they’re our pyramids, they’re a really unique, intriguing aspect of our Canadian landscape,” says England. “And they are disappearing.”

7. The things we aren't told enough about
It disgusts me that the results of climate change are barely whispered while we endure one invented crisis after another that has been manufactured by the right to distract us.

I would imagine that is why it is difficult to know if people's disaster predictions are correct, too much white noise to get a fix on real disasters.

8. The Money Republicans are very well aware of global warming.
Edited on Fri Aug-27-10 03:58 PM by Fire Walk With Me
They are counting on the progression of "no problem or -perhaps- a problem", into "OMG Help Us Anybody", where they step in with a plan, which, like the Patriot Act, shuffles massive amounts of power into their hands.

Edit: Forewarned is forearmed.
