Anybody watch the new shows on SyFy last night?
The show I thought I would like was "Mary Knows Best" but the Italian family squabbling got to me so I turned the channel. The show I didn't think I would like "Fact Or Fate: The Paranormal Files" turned out to be fascinating. They are a group of people with various skills who go about trying to prove that events that seem to be paranormal are not. They picked two videos to try to disprove. The first one of a speeding "ghost" car that appeared to drive through a chain link fence and appear on the other side without disturbing the fence or going through a gate. They were able to show how it could be done.

The second video was about UFOs over Arizona near Phoenix. Here's one for NJCher. They set out in the same setting to try to fake the video of the UFOs. Everything they tried failed and then while they had the camera trained on the sky they caught a video of a real UFO or something they couldn't identify as any known aircraft, space satellite, flares or shooting stars. Surprise! The investigators still haven't closed their mouths, I believe. :wow:

1. Hey Cleita !
I watched both of the shows. I really think that Mary O. is gifted with more than a big mouth, I'm hoping that this show will get better as it goes on. I wasn't prepared for another family "reality" show. The second one lost me to my computer room, where I listened to the second half. I was under the impression that they weren't certain that it wasn't a ghost car? The Arizona lights segment lost my interest, as I've seen many other shows regarding them, that couldn't disprove them. I wish Scy Fy channel would bring back John Edward, and that English lady psychic. I enjoyed both of them.

2. I was interested in both shows, but as is often the case
forgot when they were on. :) I caught part of "Fact or Fate" this morning as a re-run and thought it was pretty interesting (the part I caught was the "ghost car" part). I would definitely check it out again; it sounds like it got more interesting!

I'm disappointed if "Mary Knows Best" turns out to be just another reality show, but will probably tune in at some point.
:hi:
