Lunar Living: New Moon April 14, 2010
J. McCaul

New Moon
in Solar Sign: Aries 24°
April 14, 2010 @ 12:29 a.m. GMT
April 14, 2010 @ 4:29 a.m. PST -8

Sun is Aries, 24° 27'
Moon is Aries, 24° 27'

The New Moon in Aries tends to resonate with high energy for the greater good of one's self. We tend to feel more motivated to get busy with new projects and improving our appearance. But some of us become more scattered in this energy, and with this misdirected chaos, we could soon be drowning in too much, becoming impatient and impulsive. Yet, the manner in which the planets are spaced out in this chart is helpful. We have the ability to step back and distance ourselves from the ruckus. The New Moon is sextile to Neptune and Chiron in Aquarius. This can be both healing and creative ventures if we choose to use the energies in that manner. Some of us, though, will be unsure what to do, as the influence can feel heavy and confusing. Our imaginations can help us to move forward or cause us to wallow.

Mercury in Taurus is preparing to station retrograde on the 17th. We may become more stubborn in our thought processes if we refuse to admit that we need to regroup, rethink and redo. Avoid initiating new contracts, purchasing large/expensive personal property items and take a little extra caution with the types of foods that we ingest during the Mercury Retrograde. During this New Moon, Mercury is still direct motion, conjunct with Venus in Taurus. If necessary, we could find a way to convince ourselves of just about anything. The key is to avoid delusions by focusing on reality. Mercury's square to Mars in Leo could cause us to quickly take offense to another person's actions, even when the actions are not directed at us. We need to calm down our "über" thinking and stay in the wake of that calm. Add in the fact that Mercury is trine to retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, and we have quite the mix of influences marked with charm and finesse, rage and aggression, along with the potential for extreme reasoning, psychological brute force, and/or interventions by authority.

1. Mmm, good news for the prepared.
Thanks for the post/warning. This fits perfectly with what I am feeling and doing. And that others are doing around/about me. The housemate who recently said that those who prophecy are of the devil is at it again, and of course will not read 1 Corinthians 12 line 10 ("To another the workings of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the discerning of spirits, to another -different- kinds of tongues, to another interpretation of tongues.").

Of course. I just wish that I didn't have to live with it. The chart above speaks against making moves in haste, so I'll stay put for a while regardless.

Thanks Rumpel! :hi:
