We have baby kittens
I posted these in the Pets Group, but thought you all would appreciate them as well.

I can't remember if I told the story, but a little gray tabby showed up on our patio cold, hungry and pregnant. We adopted her and on Monday she gave birth to 6 kittens -- that's a lot of babies but she's handling the brood with grace and poise.

Anyway we named her Twilabelle, because when she showed up we had just watched that "Twilight" movie, which was actually pretty good -- I wasn't expecting much, so...

Without further adieu, I give you -- a pile of kittens

And Miss Twilabelle taking a break from the babies

3. I kept asking Spirit if this is what I was supposed to be doing
and kept getting the same answer: absolutely.

So I trust that Spirit will help me find homes for all the babies when they're old enough.

They really are adorable, aren't they?

5. Squee! Want!
:loveya:

Mama's expression is great too--I think that's universal, interspecies "Mother-ese" for "Kee-rist they're exhausting!"

6. Awww! Mommy looks like a really sweet kitty too.
You are so lucky. I really miss having a litter of kittens to help raise now and then. I haven't had a momma kitty in thirty years. Mine were homeless mothers too who moved in with us and whom we spayed after as well as finding good homes for the babies.

9. I see little black kitties in that pile!!!!
I DO so love black kitties! I have never known one that was not a mellow happy cat!

Hope you are feeding mama kitty lots of kitten chow so those babies have good milk to drink! I'd think that with 6 babies she is gonna be hungry all the time!

Thanks for sharing with us!

10. Black kitties are a particular favorite of mine as well
Yes, mama is getting kitten food -- my vet recommended Royal Canin for kittens, and Twila seems to really like it. She's eating every morsel I put in the bowl. Guess that's a good thing.

You're just up the highway, sweetie. I'll be glad to bring a couple up there to you.

Seriously, they are precious. Can't wait until their little eyes open up .

19. I keep forgetting you're
in Charlotte!

BTW, husband used to work there (and drove home every night) for about three and a half years. We have decided we are trying to get back down there in the next two or three. Since his driving ambition is to be discovered as a spinning house/trance/prog house dj eventually (right now he pays the bills by dj-ing at gentlemen's clubs; he worked in Chlt at Rick's {now Onyx} and Men's Club); we need to be closer to the next major city.

So we plan to be heading that way pretty soon. Maybe we can get together for hot tea or something.

I will actually mention the kitties to him seriously..we were thinking about getting a companion for the one we have, but she is a year and a half old..I dunno if the age diff will be too much right now.

21. Sure --love to meet up
PM me when you'll be in town next time. I'm up that way occasionally as well -- have some friends that live in Riedsville, and some in Danville (on up the interestate). I'll let you know next time I'm driving through.

17. Soft, squirmy angels
I LOVE kittens and cats! If I were an animal I would be a cat.

Soft angels, Momma's sweet eyes make me want to just scratch her precious head too.

18. One Week Old Today!!!
Couldn't get any good face shots, as Twilabelle kept insinuating herself between babies and camera, but the biggest black one and the biggest striped one have both opened their eyes.

Haven't named them yet -- still waiting on them to tell me what they want to be called.

28. Mona Lisa's got nothing on Twilabelle--that mysterious smile.
She looks like a sweetheart and the kitties are precious. Are they starting to venture out on their own? Thanks for brightening my day!
