Bald Eagle leading and following my husbands truck
Hello, i read this column everyday I rarely post, but my husband came home so excited on Friday night from work. We have Bald eagles in Wisconsin but we have yet to see one near us . He said he was coming home from work and spotted a bald Eagle sitting on top of the hill close to the road, the big bird flew off, just staying ahead of the truck flying low and then he looked in the rear view mirror and another one was closely following him. Both birds were flying below the tree line and he said he felt like he was in a convoy. One closely in front and another closely in back of him, and he as a diesel truck. When he came to the stop sign , they veered left and he went right , then the Eagles banked to follow him again and then he took long driveway to our house and they went past him . He said it was like they were flying in slow motion. He said it was so awesome and i just want to add the back of his truck is empty. We just bought a business, thanks to President Obama , as the president is getting more money out to small business Association. It also feels like what ever my husband gets into lately , he always has a good outcome. I just wonder if anybody has any thought on the eagles? thanks for much for reading this, Kathy

1. What a magnificent gift!

First, Kathy, welcome to DU! :hi:

I would feel so incredibly blessed if I had experienced such a "convoy" with the eagles. Very, very cool...quite an auspicious sign, in my humble opinion.

Here's a little more information about Eagle medicine:

Eagle: divine Spirit and connection to creator

Eagle feathers are used all over the world as ceremonial instruments and are considered to be the most sacred healing tools. They are a symbol of power, healing and wisdom. Eagle represents a state of grace that is reached through inner work, understanding and passing the initiation tests that result from reclaiming our personal power. Eagle Medicine is the Power of the Great Spirit. It is the spirit of tenacity. It is the gift of clear vision with which one can truly see the things one sees. It is the patience to wait for the appropriate moment. It is to live in balance with heaven and Earth. Eagle reminds you of your connection with the Great Spirit. It tells you that the universe is giving you the opportunity to fly above your life's worldly levels, or above the shadow of past realities. Eagle teaches you to look above in order to touch Grandfather Sun with your heart, to love the Shadow as much as the Light. Eagle asks you to grant yourself permission to be free in order to reach the joy that your heart desires.

Best of luck to you both on this new journey you're taking!

3. thank you giving me insight into this,
Thank you for responding to my post. In the past it would never seem to mean a message to my husband, but in the last few years, he has heard horses running outside in the dark, none there, and seen a shadow of a ghost that disappeared into the wall of our new house, he is definitely a changed man in what things mean. I will tell him all of what you wrote, he is a very hard working man. And because of receiving this business loan , he is speaking to the state legislature, its all good, thank you . and by the way, he is in the machine shop business we have about 60 people employed, his business never died down that much. And he is seeing business coming in from other companies, he said it looks like the economy is picking up. So that is good.

2. Welcome, Kathy!
And thank you for the wonderful story! OGR's information is great, and I can only add that it seemed the eagles were approving of your venture and protecting your husband as they saw him home. A great gift indeed! :hi:

7. The first time I ever saw an eagle
I was kayaking out in Washburn Island marsh. Quite a distance away in the spartina grass I looked and said to myself, "How weird, there's a brown bird with a white bird sitting
on its head." Got a little closer and low and behold... I'm such a ding-a-ling sometimes.

I'm sure its good luck to have such a sighting.

9. A good omen...
Eagle "See's far". His direction is East. The color is yellow.

His name in Lakota is wanblí...pronounced waun-blee

A bald eagle is called anúnkasanis. ..pronounced ah-nuke-a-saun-is

Wanbli is a messenger between Spirit and earth. :)

It may well be his Totem showing itself to him.

12. When I wrote the direction is east...
I meant to convey that that would also now be his direction (to stand in during a circle, power meeting etc..)if Wanbli is his Totem..which it certainly appears to be so to me.
Ask him if he saw them four ways..(far away, up close, from the side, from behind or any combination of four)
They already did something to show him they were not ordinary...so if he says yes he saw them four ways...they are his Totem and his direction is East. That also means he could also have an East Wind Spirit helper.

13. Y es i asked him about the four ways
When he came up on the lst one it was up on the hill as his truck was climbing , he said he came up slowly and he got very close and the eagle did not seem afraid of him, the eagle did not appear to be sitting on a carcass or dead animal either, my husband felt it was such a strange experience he thought it was like the eagle was waiting for him and when it took off it flew slow just right above his truck below the tree line and the other close behind , they could have flown faster and higher but did not, and when he started down our long drive way they flew past him down our driveway and he said he stopped the truck and watched them climb higher till they disappeared over our woods.thank you for your info winyanstaz, kathy

11. next time
tell him to snap a picture.

I would LOVE to see this.

Big birds of all kinds fascinate me. I don't have any particular insight into what it means to have an eagle follow you, but it sounds extra good!
