Maybe it's nothing new but I saw a report about this Silicon Valley company on the local news yesterday and was waiting for a video of the segment on at the station, but no luck x(

It's the first applicable use of telekinesis using a headset that reads brain electrical signals to move objects. There are some free downloads to watch how your brain reacts to music you like, math trainer that hones in on your attention level and problem areas.

There is an app called the Alchemy Visualizer that is not free ($10). Here's a bit of the write up

1. I think they're using the terminology wrong.

It's more of a "mental controller" like for instructing software to do something in response to your thoughts. "True" telekinesis is the ability to physically move objects or substance with your mind and nothing else touching your subject. A person with the ability of telekinesis can move a penny on a table without touching it or using some other tool to move it.

It's still pretty cool as it is. It means the technology for translating brainwaves into usable signals is making some amazing leaps. Maybe in another decade we won't need the keyboard or webcam on the computer; we'll just "think" ourselves online ;)

2. Well, that's pretty much my definition of the app.

As far as I understand telekinesis, it's moving object without the sender exerting any physical force, so I think this pretty much falls within the definition. But I do understand what you mean and I think mind control is used at the site. From what I could see of the news clip, the user was wearing a headset with sensors transmitting electrical signals to a wireless device causing the object to move. What really got me was as soon as attention wonders from the object, all movement stops.

I can wait on thinking myself online and settle for more telepathy :rofl: I'm imagining the use of this for disabled people getting around easily or when tired and driving, a sensor detects when your mind wonders off the road and sends an alert.

I don't know too much about biofeedback but I've been hearing about it since I was a kid. I can't imagine this "new" process is not the latest development in biofeedback :hug:
