What books are we reading?
I've got quite a list, though "only" three are being read right now, with the rest on order.

A couple of books I've had around and been slowly reading but still into enough to keep going are The 7 Secrets of Sound Healing by Jonathan Goldman, and Past Lives, Present Miracles by Denise Linn.

A third book in that stack I bought recently after watching the author on Bill Moyers Journal: Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin
This is a fascinating book, though the subject matter isn't directly "spiritual" like the rest in my stack. However, it is inspiring, and I expect to read it much faster than the rest :D

Thanks to some gift-money from the holidays, I made a book-order from HayHouse (with a discount) and the following should be here either this week or next:

The Spark: The 28-Day Breakthrough Plan for Losing Weight, Getting Fit, and Transforming Your Life
by Chris Downie

The 13th Step: A Global Journey in Search of Our Cosmic Destiny
by Dr. Jude Currivan, Ph.D.

The 8th Chakra: What it is and how it can transform your life
by Dr. Jude Currivan, Ph.D.

Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao
by Wayne W. Dyer, Ph.D.

Return to The Sacred: Ancient Pathways to Spiritual Awakening
by Jonathan Ellerby, Ph.D.

Following Sound Into Silence: Chanting Your Way Beyond Ego into Bliss
by Kailash (Kurt A. Bruder, Ph.D., M.Ed.)

A Daily Dose of Sanity: A Five-Minute Soul Recharge for Every Day of the Year
by Alan Cohen, M.A.

CDs:
Regression Through The Mirrors Of Time
Spiritual Progress Through Regression
both by Brian L. Weiss, M.D.

I figure I'll be busy reading these books for the rest of the year, if not longer ;)

1. I have the new book by Michael Newton
on order. It came out last October, and I only found out about it by accident.

It's called "Memories of the Afterlife".

4. You or someone else here has mentioned his name and books,
so I should look him up ;)

I have some other things I need to get so I might see about getting one of his books. Any recommendations? Like should I go with his first, or a later one?

9. I read it,
but I felt it was not as impressive as the first 2 books. Mainly because it is more narrative, from the various practitioners.

2. Question about the Denise Linn book
Edited on Tue Feb-02-10 09:17 PM by Sanity Claws
I recently discovered Denise Linn while listening to Hays House Radio and really like her.
What did you get out of the book Past Lives Present Miracles? Do you recommend it?

I have to study the rest of your list too.

3. I'm still reading it, but there's some good info.
There's a step-by-step process for doing the regressions that I haven't gotten to as yet. I don't know if I'll try it or use the two CDs I ordered for the same thing, so we'll see on that ;)

I've listened to her on HayHouseRadio, too, and liked her shows. I'm also curious about her story, as she puts forth in a biography I forgot to list above:

If I Can Forgive, So Can You
by Denise Linn

5. By "What books are we reading", are you only interested in replies from multiple personalities?
;)

I am skittering through a book on basic electronics and am looking forward to the arrival of the Zelazny/Bester book "Psycho Shop". Then, on to some more Philip K. Dick.

I have some free time and I'm catching up on the best of my favorite authors. Nothing spiritual at the moment.

6. If you both read and write, especially fiction, then the answer is
Yes. :P

I haven't read Zelazny in years and was saddened when I heard he had died (back in the mid-90s.) And I'm going to assume he didn't collaborate with PsyCop Alfred Bester on Psycho Shop ;)

Basic electronics as well as basic electricity are good books to have around for reference. You never know when you're going to have to repair something on your own :)

7. Bester of course passed away (wah!) prior to Roger
but I believe that Roger completed the Bester manuscript, and it was published in the late 90s.

Regarding electricity: I'm a sucker for "orphan audio", read: Abandoned and/or inexpensive gear. Sometimes it's simple enough for me to fix, sometimes I get good intuitional guidance and get a fix I would miss on my own, and sometimes I should have never brought home a particular item =at all=
