OT--blog is updated

Hey ASAH friends, just wanted to let you know that I just updated my blog with an excerpt from the novel I wrote for National Novel Writing Month. (I got to 50,000 words before the end of the month and therefore "won", but the story isn't finished yet. I think I'm gonna need another 50K...) So anyway, if you want to take a peek, you get two types of writing for the price of one--and it's worth every penny (free).

So, if it's not finished, what then, is the point of the "contest"? Or is it just to inspire you to write something? :)

The point of the contest is all peer pressure--and confidence building--to produce 50K in 30 days. Works pretty well, I'd say. :) And of course the goal is to keep going after the contest is over, for everyone who needs more than 50K to tell their story--and then edit it into something respectable. However, then there's that hurdle about finding an agent and/or publisher...

as if we all know what it's about automatically ;)

I'm still working on my own story without the need for something like NaNoWriMo to inspire and push. I got a fair amount added over the holiday, too. Being lazy today, mainly recovering from allergies started the night before last. But I still have some ideas I need to add before I forget...
