Man, am I ever learning a lot about people by being on Facebook, though. I don't think a cousin of mine has actually encountered a liberal in his adulthood until he connected with my sister and I on Facebook and I am inspiring some rants, LOL! They don't know we exist!

6. My poor cousin

He gets really pissed at stuff on my FB page and rants on his own. The guy has a good memory too, he can completely transcribe everything he heard on hate radio the night before into his FB notes.

I have been known to do some battle when they decide to get brave on my page or those of other liberal friends. The problem is that I have to be careful how I state things so it won't give me that "dark" feeling. But I'm learning! I think this is a part of my progression, I wouldn't have permitted people from the past to know me until recently because of the fear that I haven't amounted to enough in life, it takes what it takes for stuff like that to not matter so much.

9. Something that didn't make it into my 2012 article

I was corresponding with Judi Sion and Tom Kenyon for the 2012 article, and Judi wrote something that didn't quite fit into the article on the Mayan calendar (although I tried desperately to get it in). To paraphrase, she said that there originally were hundreds of Mayan codices (until they were destroyed by the Spanish--of course), but now we only have three left (authenticated ones)--the Dresden Codex, the Paris Codex, and the Madrid Codex; the Grollier Codex hasn't been authenticated officially. And she said, "How can we write as if we know what the Mayan calendar was all about based on three books out of hundreds? (And even a better question, how can we talk about the 'end of time' based on such little authenticated material?)"
