1. Good on ya.

Did you see the vid in Political Videos with the young veterans visiting DC to tell lawmakers that more troops are a waste?

At the moment I don't recall hearing anything about influences active during that time frame. Have you checked any planetary info?

I rely on you fantabulous people for planetary info!

I love that this plan is for massive civil disobedience- day after day.
Not a march with a permit on a weekend when the congress critters are home in
their districts. There is also a plan to have photographers/videographers ready
to immediately post fresh photos on websites/ you-tube- as we can't
rely on the corporate media to do their job.

Putting pressure on the DC jails w/ 1000 fresh civil disob. arrestees daily
is the goal. I worry about the man using their new strange technology on us.
But it's time- if they can do it in France? Right?

The IAWV are an amazing group of vets- And they will be part of this plan.

5. I guess you know

to take ear plugs, water, face mask, etc. Getting arrested scares the dickens outta me. Have you ever experienced that? Don't most of those cases get thrown out of court?

2. Can't tell you about the event itself, but...

..there are real problems in Afghanistan, real actual dangers to the US. This is not an opinion. Obama is attempting to take care of them. Peace itself is a wonderful thing, but to quote jms, the great writer, "sometimes peace requires victory over those who do not want it."

Also...Cindy states "Our inaction is not an option anymore either!"

This is definitely true. The promise of the Obama Presidency depends upon US stepping up and acting to make it happen. This is currently not occuring. People still believe (or are simply lazy) that the President will do it all for them. Obama stated early on that he required our participation, and it is very, very true. Note the slow drift to Republicanism occuring in yesterday's election. People will vote for whoever will give them the most and require the least from them. The nation must gather together and make health care and embrace Obama's other initiatives actually happen. Or allow it to drift back to those who critique from their sofas and do nothing at all, while those who promise everything and deliver nothing again "take" office. It IS up to us. Period.

4. I would LOVE to post this event to GD, but...

the fact that CS is suck a divisive individual on DU and that she is associated with this event- Well... I don't want to even
think about that right now. Even if CS wasn't involved it would be bad. I'm sending PM's to DU members I know are
the real activists- for recruiting purposes. The last time I put it on the line was about 3 years ago- staged a sit in
inside my congressman's office. Since then, the weekly vigil (and not weekly) The attendance has also waned from
10-15 to about 3 of us. I'm getting off the couch.

I'ts true tho', Obama told us it was up to us to hold him accountable, and so be it.
