Well, I tried again to get some folks to come here.
I think a couple might have braved it, but most say no thanks. A lot who would like to come back can't because they are not allowed.

The link was posted at the blog, and at the forum. I don't see much luck. They say the personal attacks are too much. That's a shame.

They see no need for putting themselves through it.

1. thanks for trying madfloridian
We'll get this forum built up, don't you worry about that. It takes time. Other DUers who support Dean will start coming here someday. We just need to continue working on this forum ourselves. You know how the saying goes "if you build it they will come". Well we're still working on the build it part. There are enough core members here to keep this going. One thing I might suggest is cross posting on DU. Make a thread here to point to discussions in GD or wherever they appear and vice versa so we get more DUers to come to our forum.

Sonia

2. I don't think we are supposed to do that under the new rules.
See Skinner's post above. The posting in other forums, that is.

Too many can't come back, and the others can read. They don't want the hassle.

3.  They won't come, even if no disruptors are allowed!
Quel dommage!
Are you talking about the site who's name must not be spoken?

4. No, I am talking about the DFA blog and forum.
I noticed that messages posted there were just about ignored. I finally got a couple of notes that they were not interested.

9. Sure they will
it's just that some never were Dean, and some have been banned from here.

Many here are completely unaware of what you're referring to.

Each forum serves a purpose.

5. Thanks for the effort, MF.
I can't say that I blame them; things got crazy during the primaries (the "us versus them" mentality). These DU groups seem to be helping though; they were a very good idea, and they seem to be helping to keep a lid on things, at least somewhat.

They provide more work for the admins and mods at this starting point, but that might even out as time passes. From what I've seen so far, they've been very good and very even-handed about dealing with problems.

Some DUers, unfortunately, seemed to jump right back into primary mode right after Kerry lost the election. I hope that doesn't continue. But even if it does, at least these groups provide a sort of safe haven.

6. As I said before, unresolved issues...and all that jazz.
Sometimes these issues can be ignored, but too many were hurt. Sometimes a few try to face up to them, and the road gets easier.

We are not out of the primaries yet. I have some decisions to make if I get attacked anymore for critiquing the party's funding and their goals.

If we don't look at the problems, there will be no change.

7. That's true.
Those are some very practical issues.

10. The NUMBER ONE unresolved issue
Edited on Thu Nov-25-04 07:49 PM by Capn Sunshine
WE WERE RIGHT. THEY WERE WRONG
Most of them can't face that.

8. It's depressing
Thankfully we have our group here because with so many Deaniacs feeling unwanted during the primaries here the main board is overloaded with people, to be kind, don't care for Dean. I wish we had the numbers here we had last year at this time.
