Mikey the Refugee
Just wanted to introduce him to you.



His owner was a lady with Alzheimer's. The kennel I worked at used to keep him off and on. The old lady died and the next of kin were going to have Mikey put to sleep. The owner of the kennel didn't want that to happen so he kept him there. I used to feed him and run him everyday. I always said if I lived at a place that I could have animals, I would take him. He is only 9 years old and the sweetest little thing.

After the storm, when I said goodbye to my employers at the kennel, I offered to take him. Now he is out of the debris and living in Missouri with me.

How could anyone resist a little dog who smiles?
