Sparkly's still not totally comfortable with her Shih-tsu grooming skills. :)

1. the groomer for my late Sheltie did stuff like that
My late mother liked it (thought it was "cute"). However, said dog did not like it one bit. He was a he, not a she. He didn't like bows around his neck!

I don't blame Sparkly for not being thrilled.

2. Now, now, now -- in fairness....
She had slept on her 'do.

(Not that it looked much different yesterday.)

I'm on a learning curve.

3. Keep practicing, Sparkly.
Or give it up. Actually all but the ribbons looks cute.

4. (thoughtful tone of typing here)...
I s'pose as long as you didn't put perfume on the pupster it's all good...no skill falls out of the box perfect.

Some dogs come back from the groomer reeking of perfumes and scents they were never meant to have.
It blasts my dull human nose...and I can only imagine what it does to their much more sensitive ones. :nuke:

Poor doggies...:hide:

5. They tarted her up the first time we sent her to a professional groomer. Now we know better
They get strict orders not to put fru fru smells on her. We don't like it, but mostly neither she nor our other two dogs like it.

6. Looks like Sparkly
is doing pretty well grooming the Brimleys.

The two pigtails will grow out so that Sparkly can gather them up into a nice center crown. Once they get to that length they can be left to grow a bit longer - and be a bit more manageable.

What a face she has. A real cutie.
