2. My first thought was to shave the dog and give it a bath. This
strikes me as a picture of a neglected animal. I know it is not the case but....Ewwwwww.

5. Pulis have hair like that.
Usually it's hanging down straight, covering the body, though I imagine there is serious grooming involved with these dogs. I've seen a puli before and they are beautiful dogs. Since the dog in the picture is jumping over something, I'm guessing that's why the hair looks particularly wild.

7. Actually, that dog would be a lot more uncomfortable
in the summer if you got rid of the coat. It insulates against the heat.
