Any suggestions for a good litter for the Litter Maid cat box?
I am at my wit's end. I have gone through 3 brands of kitty litter and am now on my fourth. The problem is, all the manufacturers seem to be changing their formulas. First Arm and Hammer worked (clumped really hard, did not clog the teeth of the Litter Maid), then they changed the formula (no clumping, clogs the teeth every time). Then the same thing happened with both Fresh Step and Tidy Cat. Tidy Cat original hard clumping worked fantastic, but they have now put out 5 new and different types of litter, none of which seem to work. I just bought something at Petco called Premium Brand (?? not sure of the name, Hubby threw away the package) and it doesn't work too well either.

I need a hard clumping brand that doesn't crumble and clog up the teeth. Has anyone tried anything that works?

This may seem like a silly question, but DU'ers always know everything, so I'm hoping to find an answer here.

2. I have found World's Best Litter to be among the hardest clumping around.
It is made of corn cobs, so it is not going to harm the furbabies.

I never knew that they had different packaging for supermarket vs pet shop types. Not sure if there is a difference. I buy it in a pet supply store.

3. Thanks for the link!!
Their website states that it works in self-cleaning litter boxes (way at the bottom of the page). This is a lot more than the others claim, so I'm off to try some World's Best cat litter! I'll let you know how it goes and thanks for responding.
