Update on Stray Kitten....
This is a follow-up to my previous thread:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=243&topic_id=11925&mesg_id=11925

Well, after a quick trip to the vet, shots, deworming, and a nasty nasty ear cleaning session (bad case of ear mites-no fleas though, go figure)we brought the little darling in. She's adjusted like a dream and took immediately to the litter box. She has been officially names "PURRMA" (short for 'purr machine'-my son thought of it). The vet guesses that she is less than six months because her 'canine' teeth are not fully in.
She seems to understand that she's got a good setup because she won't go near the door.
I was sick with the stomach flu over this weekend, thanks to my sister-in-law (long story) and Purrma stayed right with me the whole time-the dog won't even do that!.
Thanks for convincing me to bring her in. She's been wonderful and we're so happy to have her in our family now.
I'll try to post some pics soon of Purrma, but here is a picture of another cat that looks like her (except Purrma has amber eyes) so you get an idea:

Thanks everyone!

1. Yeah ! It sounds like all has gone incredibly well.
I am glad to hear you are feeling a bit better and I am sure Purrma is feeling better after her ear-cleaning session - :-)

You should expect some mischief as she settles in. Initially the whole house contains so many fascinating things to look at and jump on that they don't get into much. Once they have figured out the basics - chairs, couches, beds, litter box, and food dish - they go for trashcans and lamps and toilets.

Do post pics when you can - I am looking forward to seeing cat and dog together!

:hi:

3. There is a pic, but it's hosted on geo-cities so not hot-linkable.
Right-click on it and click "show image" or "show picture" whatever it says. You'll see it.

4. Sounds like Purrma is a smart cat
see now she's appointed herself head nurse and made herself indispensable.

Charley is now my head bathroom greeter! Funny how they slip in and develop little locks around your heart.
