Pics of my either pregnant or just chubby foster cat
She was named June Bug by the volunteer who captured her. Not sure I like that. I was thinking that if she IS indeed pregnant, maybe I should name her Rita, and name all her babies after past hurricanes, since I got her just in time to evacuate. She's VERY sweet and has gorgeous eyes.

1. Hard to tell from those photos...
...but, to me, she looks more rotund than pregnant. What a lovely kitty, though!

2. striking colors. I've never seen red on a grey tabby before.

What is she a tortie tabby? A Calico Tabbie?

Good looking cat. Is she active or does she eat a lot and lay around all day? I have a momma cat who weighs a lot because she is lazy.

3. She looks a lot like the kitty my sister found in her garage.
She had 5 brand new kittens. We named her Sandy.

4. I hope I don't sound insensitive or anything...

But have you tried seeing if she is early enough along (if she is indeed pregnant) to do a pregnancy spay? Our shelter has done them for dogs and cats when we know they are pregnant and they are early enough that we could terminate.

It's just an option, but of course it would mean a trip to the vet's (and I'm not real sure of the cost of a pregnant spay) :) To me though, she just looks pretty sturdy - at least, let's hope that's all it is! ;) She's an absolutely gorgeous girl though - I just love her coloring.

5. She doesn't look preggers to me
You have no idea how old she is? My tabby is 14, same coloring and everything (except he's a male) He's just FAT and happy. Let's hope that is her predicament.

6. Thanks everyone:-)
I don't know what her mix is, or how old she is, since she was just recently found. I'm thinking a tortie-tabby though. Once she has gotten over the trauma of the long evacuation, I'll take her down to see the vet tech at the shelter... probably next week.

The shelter that I foster for provides all vet care. I don't know exactly why they didn't decide on spaying while pregnant, if indeed she is. I'm tending to think she is not, after 2 weeks of having her. I tried a bit more pressure on her belly last night, and I didn't feel a thing.

She hides in my closet when I am not around. I made a nice cozy space in there for her. She comes out and circles around me for petting in all directions when I am with her. I hate having to keep her cooped up in that room, and not spending enough time with her, but she is terrified of other cats.

AirmensMom, your Sandy is beautiful, and so are her babies!!! :loveya:

7. Thanks. She's not mine, she's my sister's.
We don't know where she came from. She had her kittens in my sister's garage, so we took care of them all and put the kittens up for adoption when they were old enough. They've all been spayed/neutered now and my sister still has two of the black ones left.

Sandy is a brown tabby ... she looks a little more stripey than June Bug but the colors look about the same.

These are my kitties:

10. Thanks.
Lily's a cutie! Who's the other one?

My husband calls the Abys "Aby-normal."

8. I think she's a brown-patch tabby
which is a combination calico and tabby. As with all tri-color+ cats, all brown-patch tabbies are female...

That's what our Little is, but Little has more white.
