Recycle a Big Old UPS and other computer equipment?
Edited on Fri Aug-19-05 03:14 PM by RamboLiberal
Anyone have a good source to recycle a 10 year old "boat anchor" Excide Electronics Powerware 2000 UPS that wouldn't cost a lot? It's no bigger than a PC tower but it is one heavy mother!

Also other computer equipment even Goodwill wouldn't want?

My area of the country(Pittsburgh) seems sadly neglectful in recycling options.

1. Check with your city's recycling department and
call the local school district to see what they take as donations. I know here (in SF) most computer equipment can only be recycled at a center across the Bay, and you have to pay a small fee. A charity might be interested in the UPS, but you have to make an extra effort to get rid of old PCs.
