what happened to my status bar?

what happened to my status bar?
I just noticed the damn thing has dissappeared...you know, the little green bar that runs from left to right at the bottom of the screen on Windows XP?

Any body know how to get it back?

1. Do you mean the taskbar maybe?
The one with the Start button?

2. If so, restart your pc.
If it is still gone, move your mouse to the bottom of the screen. Did it pop up? If so, right-click it and choose properties > Taskbar tab > and look at your settings for autohide and keep on top of other windows.

3. If you don't and really mean the status bar in windows,
Restart your pc. If the problem is still there go to View > Status bar - check it.
