Been having issues with Chrome freezing and
then leaving behind processes that I can't even kill in task manager. Only a reboot gets rid of them.

I'm seeing some similar issues in Firefox, though not in IE.

Reading around, I saw some references on a Chrome questions site to a piece of malware that people had been finding behind this problem, or at least a similar one. (Hard to tell from the descriptions). A suggestion on there was to use a program from Kapersky called tdsskiller. I thought I'd check in here to see what anyone had to say about that before trying it - sometimes on these forums, bad people suggest things for the wrong reasons, you know?

Anyway, if anyone knows anything about either the problem or this potential solution, I'd surely love to hear about it! Using IE is bugging me!

TIA

1. Hoping it's Advanced System Care
at startup causing issues... because that's easily dealt with.

So far, stable. But it always is until it isn't. :)

3. Same here. Used firefox for years.
But the latest version seemed to screw up my computer.
It was in the shop for days.
My 'puter guru uses chrome, so I had him load it.
It can't find many websites on first try.
Sometimes 'refresh' works, but not always.
Sure like to find something as reliable as firefox used to be.

4. Seems to have been ASC
or Iobit's malware fighter. Since I took them off startup, things have been stable. I'm guessing that they were fighting something else and getting things all locked up.
