How do I cope with this new one? (Hotmail problem)

Thanks to many of you, I have improved the performance of this old machine considerably.

Everything was going will. In addition to your suggestions, I got rid of Silverlight and Bonjour too.

These last 3 days I have been bombarded with spam from the same senders(I think). Several times a day,I check Hotmail. Today alone, 101 from Carwarranntee, Matchdatingservices. good old Orchard Bank, SaveOnWindows, VistaPrintrewards and others. There is no way to right click to check properties. I think they are from the same sender. I can indicate they are 'junk but I still get them in the Hotmail junk folder. I don't want to spend my time checking this junk out every day. Never had this happen before. From one of them I received 9 e-mails, all this was on the first page, there are 3 pages. Hotmail, for me is a secondary account. I have been fortunate enough to keep my friends and family one fairly clean on junk. Is this their problem or mine. There seems no way go get in touch with Hotmail either. All the messages were multiples. Hotmail help section is no help in this. Block sender should mean block---never to be seen again, junk or otherwise.

Any thoughts?

1. Hotmail is not known for its spam fighting.
If you go to "options/more options/manage rules", you can setup some rules that search for these words and delete the emails. Not the best approach and it requires frequent updates, but it will keep your inbox and junk-mail folders cleaner than Hotmail is doing.

2. I didn't realize hotmail was still in business
You might want to check with your isp about setting up multiple email accounts with them. I've never had more than one, but if I recall correctly, my isp will allow me to set up up to six separate email addresses at no extra charge.
The funny thing is that my isp does a really good job of filtering spam, so I've never needed to prioritize multiple emails.

Your mileage may vary.
