FTP/HTTP download program with resume?

I have to admit, I'm a little ignorant of this sort of software for Windows. What I'm looking for is an FTP program that will allow me to download files with an HTTP URL, and resume them as well, should something interrupt the downloading process. Any recommendations?

3. FTP vs. HTTP

First, I want to echo NewHampshireDem's suggestion of Freedownload Manager. It's what I was going to urge you to get becuase it will do the kind of thing that you're wanting.

But, while I'm here, I just want to offer a little information.

FTP and HTTP are two different protocols used to allow different computers on a network to communication. You can't really use a dedicated FTP program to doownload files via HTTP because FTP is something different. An exceptional FTP client for your to consider should you ever need one is FileZilla. It's OpenSource and full-featured, and I simply cannot think of a better program for its purpose.

But, it's not going to do what you want with resumes of files gathered via HTTP. What you need is a download manager. There are many of these, but, as mentioned, one of the best, IMO, is Freedownload Manager.
