Know anything about MagicJack??
I got MagicJack in Sept. It works great a lot of the time, but sometimes there's a lot of broken commection. Not a disconect, but much like a bad cell connection. I've found that if I reboot my computer and don't do any searching or anything that would put things in memory, it seems to be fine, but if I;ve been reading DU, reading the various news web sites, and streaming radio, I get a bad connection.

Would adding additional memory cure this? Do you have any other suggestions?

1. FWIW
I've no personal experience with this product but it appears many people are having similar issues with it. It seems adding a powered USB hub may correct the problem if your onboard USB ports are underpowered.

It is also suggested that running TCP Optimizer to tune up your network card fixes the problem.

2. my experience is breaking up or fade in and out during talking
but the connection thing - if I don't use the phone it is like it goes to sleep - if you go to the menu on the mj panel and just do a restart - it cycles it through - I don't have a problem like you define and I use firefox all the time. I bring up my computer without it hooked up and then hook it up and before I turn off - I do a safe to unplug the usb - I just find sometimes when the computer is coming up it seeks the mj and gets confused.

4. We have it and I love it. The only time I had a problem was when
my fella was doing a big download and surfing at the same time while I was on the phone. (we're networked)
He paused the d/l and the connection cleared up immediately. He didn't stop surfing, just the download. I've never had a problem otherwise.

You might check out their troubleshooting page and see what they have to say about the problem...Have you compared the recommended system info with your computer? (memory, etc)
