Who has a reliable/effective spyware program they use?
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 02:41 PM by Husb2Sparkly
I have been running Norton 360 on all machine son our network. All are infected to a greater or lesser degree with spyware (so sez my tech, who I trust).

Anyone have anything they know to be effective on WinXP machines?

1. I think the concensus is to use a variety
I'm currently dealing with deciding which combo to use. I don't think I've ever had an infection, and I use Comodo Firewall (has spyware defense built in), Spybot Search & Destroy, AdAware, Comodo BOClean, and AVG.

Comodo has an active forum community, and this link might be useful to you:

3. My tech suggested either NOD32 or KASPERSKY AV
He said to use one of them, but not both.

And he took Norton off my machine.

5. Those are both antivirus apps
If you have more than one AV on a system, they fight each other and don't work right. You can run more than one antispyware app at a time though.
