Firefox won't work with Vista, PLEASE HELP!
I've fallen into Vista Hell! Was just given a new Dell with Vista on it and had broadband installed today. Now I can't get Firefox to open any page. It's always 'address can't be found'. I uninstalled 3.0 and installed 3.0.01 and no change. I have Comodo firewall and made sure it is accepting Firefox. Same with Avira's AntiVir.

I've been using Firefox for many years and am going insane trying to get back on there! Looking thru Mozilla forums is like sinking into quicksand. And you pretty much hope you go down as fast as you can! Obviously, I haven't been able to install any Firefox Addons yet.

If anyone has any ideas, pleeeeeeeeease share them!!!! I will keep looking, too!

:hi:

3. OK, try this.
Go to Tools, Options.
Advanced section.
Network tab.
Next to "Configure how Firefox connects to the Internet" click the Settings button.
Is "No Proxy" selected? Or something else?

5. What about browsing by IP?
If you put this into your address bar:

http://208.67.219.99/

Does it pull up the OpenDNS page?

6. It does pull up the OpenDNS page
I also ran PC Decrapifier before the broadband was installed. Now I'm wondering if I didn't remove something I shouldn't have. I am going to see what I can find about problems with FF & Decrapifier. Thanks for hanging in there with me, trotsky!!!

Think I got too big for my britches! Did a system restore and will start over without the decrapifier. My wonderful Firefox is back!!!

Thanks trotsky!
