Weird one- desktop is replicating copies of pics and docs
Edited on Tue Jul-15-08 12:43 PM by Capn Sunshine
I try to put the copies in the trash, and they show up on the desktop again after restart.
Also, if I click on one of them, six more copies appear
WTF

4. Check this:
click start run, regedit and traverse down to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

When you open up the last folder you should see a bunch of entries. the data on each one should start %USERPROFILE%

do they say that or something else?

6. I've run into a problem when selecting multiple items to do anything with
Whether whacking the files or simply moving them, if I hold down the CTRL key and click quickly through selecting the files it starts a copy operation and will put the copied files and folders in the same place, but with the addition of "Copy of" and the name.

Is that what is happening here?
