Firefox getting in the way of FTP
I like the new Firefox alot, but now, since I guess it's the default browser, when I type an FTP address under Start->Run (in XP) the FTP site will appear nicely in the Firefox web browser.

That's Okay, I have no problem with that.

But, IE has the option in the menu to "View FTP Site in Windows Explorer." That way, if I want, I can then drag and drop files without having to use an FTP client.

I know of a workaround or two, but I was wondering if there were just something equivalent to the "View in Windows Explorer" button in Firefox?

It is a really nice seamless add in.

of course you could go old school and use the cmd line.

2. Yes. There's the IETab extension
The IETab extension allows you to view pages using Internet Explorer inside of Firefox. You can even specify specific sites to always display using Internet Explorer. I use it all the time for testing and because there's a handful of sites I have to use that are IE specific.

4. Okay, I'll try that
I would presume the site will still come up in the browser first regardless. When IE was the default, I was able to get an FTP site to open in Windows Explorer using the Run... command, and avoided seeing the browser at all. (more specifically, it was easy to guide people through the process over the phone -- still is, actually, since most people don't have Firefox as the default)

Anyway, it was just my own little trick, I guess. It was bound not to last. Oh well. Thanks.
