Skype - YIKES

we just got a webcam to see our grandkids who all live far away. We installed skype and now everywhere a phone number is listed in a google search or anywhere at all, we get this little flag to the left and then a drop down to try to use skpe VOIP to call that number. I could live with the drop down, but I hate that little flag!

Can I get rid of it??

1. Try this

In Skype go to Tools > Options > Advanced Under advanced settings un-check the box that says "Associate Skype with call to: links on the web". The click save. I am not 100% sure that this will work but it is worth a try.

We unchecked it last week - closed it down and then opened it up again and then even rebotted all. Still shows that annoying little 'Murikan flag!

I think I had that installed for a while and I didn't like it either.
