I thought the same thing. Slashdot was all but worthless for a day. :-)

I liked one of the comments somewhere down in the chain, asking if anyone had a hack of Photoshop that made it look like GIMP.

4. they had some pretty funny threads
I liked the one about the Opera web-browser folks getting a new patent. The had me going for a minute until I realized that the patent was for... talking. ;)

5. GIMP 2.2.6 has been released. The Mac version seems pretty good.
I will be glad when an Aqua version hits the street.

6. AARGGHH
will not run on my main work computer! I have a problem wiht one of the DLLs, thanks to adware... have tried all including deinstalling and reinstalling...

(now, now I also use Corel and that works, but I do LOVE and I mean LOVE GIMP, which runs fine on the labptop thankee)
