baby bjorn bites!
Arggg. I am so disappointed with the customer service from Baby Bjorn. My son was born in August of 2004 and my sister bought us a baby bjorn active carrier as a shower gift. As you may know this carrier was recalled. I was devastated when I learned this, because Connor loved going for walks in the baby bjorn, but was happy to learn there was a repair kit available. We contacted Baby Bjorn about getting a repair kit in January and were told then that it would take up to six weeks to get the kit. At the time I felt, OK, six weeks is alright. We just won't use the carrier for six weeks. Well six weeks passed and no repair kit came so my husband contacted Baby Bjorn again. The company said they had a record of having sent the repair kit, but would go ahead and send another. This was mid February. Again he was told that the kit would take about six weeks to arrive. It's April 30th and still no repair kit has ever been delivered. Today we received this message:

<i>Dear #####,

Our records indicate that you contacted us on, 1/31/05, and we issued you a Return Authorization, RA24604, for Baby Bjorn product. As of today, that product has not been received by our warehouse.

We regret to inform you that as of May 1, 2005, Regal Lager will no longer represent Baby Bjorn and we can unfortunately not process your return.

Please contact the new distributor at 866-424-0200 when you are ready to return your Baby Bjorn.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and we hope that we can be of service in the future. Visit www.regallager.com to find five other wonderful product lines that we represent and can offer to you and your child.

I love how they pitch their other products as if we would purchase anything else from this company after they have left us so dissatisfied. Anyway, just a warning to those considering a baby bjorn.

1. That sucks. I like my bjorn (I have the basic one)
