A consistently nice quality wine - Sbragia
They're located at the north end of Dry Creek Valley, in Sonoma, just below the new Rockpile appellation. The first we had was their Home Ranch Chardonnay, a very lightly oaked wine that has nice complexity for a white. We also had their Cabernet, which is quite unusual in that it has a lot of the qualities we enjoy in the big, red Zinfandels from this neighborhood. It is fruity for a cab, hits with some pepper at the front, and finishes like a nice, refined cab ought to. We just had their Merlot, which had a lot in common with what one would expect from a cab. Lastly, their Sauvignon Blanc is worth a taste, too.

They have two lines of wines. Their Home Ranch is estate grown (47 acres). They also make wines named for their regions. The cab, above, for example, is a Napa wine.

In our area, their wines range from $15 to $25, maybe a bit more. Not cheap, but not expensive, either. We enjoy them a lot.

1. He used to be the wine maker at Beringer (actually, may still be an adviser there) -
and was responsible for many good wines there - esp. the Chardonnay and Cabernet Private Reserves (pricey, though!)
