Rediscovering an old appliance
It's still real warm here. It hit about 85° today. We defrosted a rack of Kansas City rubbed spare ribs but it was too hot to slow cook it in the stove oven. I wasn't in the mood to bbq, either.

Then I remembered our small sized Nesco roaster was stashed in the pantry closet. It cooks things so fast and made the ribs fall off the bone in good time at a low temp. And the insert goes in the dishwasher. :D

2. This one is the 5 qt
I'm going to roast a 4.36 pound chicken in it tomorrow. I think I can even fit a larger roasting chicken in it and will try that next.

This one came with the buffet kit - a QVC special deal decades ago. I need to hunt down where I stashed those pieces.
