What are your food plans for Fathers Day?
I know I am going to make a shepherds pie for the little one but I want more for the adults.

1. What are the favorite foods of the Dads in your life?
Any dietary restrictions?

2. We're going to family's house...
I think they will probably cook out and I'll be asked to make some side dishes.

I want to come up with a WOW dessert but I don't know what it is yet. :D

3. My sister will be making a chicken pie. Her pie crust is to die for--flaky,
tender, just perfect. In between the two crusts is chicken and gravy. No peas, no carrots. It was Mom's recipe and we're carrying on the tradition. We'll probably have green beans, corn, and a green salad.

4. We're going out for brunch.
Our daughter is taking her dad and me out to a restaurant for brunch. I don't have to cook it or clean up after it so I'm thrilled.

Our son is having gallbladder surgery tomorrow morning. While he's off from work and recuperating he is taking his dad to a NY Yankees game.

5. We taking food to my Mother in Law's house.
This week we are trying out the blood Type O diet, so no wheat, dairy or corn. Salad, grilled asparagus, blackened salmon served over some sort of fancy rice that I have yet to sort out.

6. what is the blood O type diet?
It wouldn't be useful to anyone in my family because we are all either A neg or AB neg, but I am curious!

7. Does not matter. There is a Diet for A and AB as well
I think the science behind the diet may be kind of dicey, but I'm doing it again as an experiment. It's working really well for my husband, not so much for me.

Here is the link for all the diets. The library probably has the book. I've been doing it off and on since it came out years ago. http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm

8. This is very interesting, never hard about this before.
I'll have to check it out. The only thing is, what if everyone in a family is a different type? In my immediate family, my Dad and I are Type A, my brother's B and my mother's AB. That could make dinnertime complicated. ;) :hi:

9. There are a bunch of Neutral foods they might have in common
Or someone just might not eat some item. I'm lucky that our house is all the same blood type. Sadly, we all have different schedules though, so we rarely eat together, plus my teens can be picky eaters.
:hi:
About to be down to one teen!:toast: A little sad, but the kitchen might work a bit better for the upside. Rites of passage.
