Better Than Bouillon - Ham Base flavor
Oh my god - it is so good! My store just started carrying it and I grabbed a jar. So far, I just dip the edge of a fork in it for a taste. It's a lovely, smokey flavor. I have to order the other flavors like lobster and clam base, too. I want them all. This stuff is the goods.

1. They have seafood bases, too?
Just the day before yesterday I was looking in the grocery store for anyone's brand. I wound up using my usual .... clam juice.

10. I hear ya!
Have you ever heard of Knorr-Swiss? I think they may now go simply by Knorr - at least I know that's what they're doing retail. Used to be they were Knorr-Swiss for commercial. Anyway, they used to make the most obscure base mixes. And it was an excellent product. Salty, but not as salty as most. Also they used the real thing for at least part of the flavoring. I don't recall all that they made, but there were plenty of them. I recall for sure veal base, salmon base, lobster, crab, and shrimp. Our grocery (Safeway) carries their soup bases and their beef and chicken stock bases. All are under the Knorr (only) brand.

13. The commercial stuff was in jars
The retail stuff (all I've ever seen, anyhow) is in envelopes.

Is this an online store?

Edit - I found the online store. They have a pork base, too. Must be fresh pork since they also have ham. Fresh pork base would be nice for makiing my lima bean soup. It would make it lower in fat by a mile.

I wish they had a store here. The closest is in Arizone. At least they're expanding.

Thanks!

3. HAM? !!
I haven't seen this flavor yet.

I have to tell ya that I put several tablespoons of the BBB beef in a pot of chili the other day, and got a great deal of pleasure out of licking the spoon. Salty as hell, but such deep flavor.

5. I'm going to order the other flavors
My store will get them for me, I'm sure. And yes, salty stuff but good. I use it spraingly to keep my salt intake down.

I especially enjoy making a cup of veggie broth with the veggie flavor. It's nice and hardy.

11. Great Find!
If these are as good as the one's I've tried so far (beef, chicken, and veggie), they ought to be damned good.

14. Safeway should get them for you
Out here, so long as Safeway or Soopers (Kroger) carries something from a company, they'll order what you want. But it looks like you've now got that site with the pics of all the jars for ordering online. Either way, you're all set. My store only carries the 3 basics like you can get plus the ham.

I wonder how the veggie would taste in some sour cream for dip. And likewise the clam. Hmmmm... I'm going to experiment with the sour cream substitute.
