General Tso’s
The freshest catch in Montauk gets the General Tso treatment.

1. That's so decadent I don't know what to think about it.

I love the General... and I LOVE Scallops. The Scallops are such an expensive treat that covering them up with such a yummy and highly seasoned sauce seems....wasteful. I think save the sauce for the weekly chicken and for me anyway savor those seafood yumsters as pure and bereft of gunk as possible.

2. I agree and am not fond of sticky, sweet sauces, anyway
The only way I'd do this one is with seafood past its prime but not yet spoiled.

Give me an exquisitely fresh scallop, it's just salt, pepper, and lemon juice, thanks.

3. I think this sounds wonderful with the fish.

I can just imagine how light and delicious it is. Scallops are not my favorite, tho.

4. See what I get just looking at the pictures
That fish looked just like Scallops. Can't judge a book by it's cover that's for sure. I'd be more likely to try this with fish.

5. Well it was a little confusing.
The article talked about a restaurant doing it with fresh fish, and then the "cheat" they referred to later was scallops. ;)
