I am baking my special holiday apple crisp this afternoon.

Chopped golden delicious apples, sugar, craisins (sweetened dried cranberries), pecans. Topping of rolled oats, brown sugar, whole wheat flour and a little canola oil. 350F for 40 minutes.

I can't wait!

2. That sounds great! I have some leftover pie crust and was looking at an apple
and pineapple pie. Can you make yours with pineapple as well?

3. No idea. I never buy pineapple anymore, lol. Doesn't fit into my
eating "locally" plan. I don't see why you couldn't do it, though. It's not going to turn out inedible.

4. I am trying to do as much of the eating locally as I can, but I am on a small island
most of the time and they don't grow anything here.

We do have a farmer's market in one little town once a week, but I think they are just reselling commercially grown foods.

I spent some time around Ventura this summer, and that was locally grown heaven!

6. I gotta do this soon.
I still have apples from our trees in the garage; after several apple pies in a row, I'm ready to go back to the apple crisps. Easier!
